"You did not just say his name! GET OUT! GET OUT!" I screamed, about to run up to Liam when a pair of arms grab me from behind, holding me back. "LET GO OF ME! LET GO!" I thrashed around, lashing out at Liam.

"Well... Seems like I'm unwanted here. I'll be off then. See you, Naomi." Liam smirked, waltzing out the room like he was some king. Finally, the arms around me loosened, allowing me to turn around, seeing it was Calum.

"I'm so sorry you had to see that." I mumbled, walking over to Benji. I rubbed his back as he wiped tears from his eyes, looking up at me helplessly. I sighed, rubbing my forehead as I bit my lip, holding back tears as I ran to the back of the studio, to John's office. I heard Calum calling for me, but I ignored him. I needed to be alone, I thought as I locked the door, tears bursting out after being bottles inside me for too long.

"Naomi? Come on, please, open up. You don't need to tell me what happened, you don't need to say a word, just... Let me in, please?" I attempted to muffle my loud sobs with the sleeves of my jumper, failing miserably as I heard Calum say something again, but I couldn't hear exactly what he had said.

Then, the door knob jiggled and I knew that he had gotten the key off of Benji. I would have stood up, trying to straighten up myself. But I hadn't sat and cried like this in a while, I needed it.

I was currently sitting against the wall in front of John's cluttered desk, head buried in my hugged ripped black jean clad legs. "Hey." Calum whispered, sitting against the desk. I didn't even lift my head up to know he had sat there, he walks pretty loudly.

"You don't need to say anything, like I said before." He said. And then it was silent. We didn't say anything. But I wasn't fine with that. I needed to tell someone, the only people who knew were John and Benji. I had no one else and I was desperate to spill the contents of my burdened heart to someone, anyone.

"He was my brother... Nick." I said, my voice hoarse. I lifted my head up, slightly, Calum's eyes on me. "Liam was one of his best friends. Him, Benji and Liam. Then... One day they went to a party late at night. I knew Nick would be fine and he'd be safe, until Benji called me... He told me I needed to get to the party quickly, and I ran. I knew something was wrong, and I knew it had something to do with my brother. But by the time I had gotten there it was too late..." I hadn't realised I was crying until Calum came to sit closer in front of me, his thumb trailing across my cheek.

"You don't need to speak. It's alright." Calum insisted. But I shook my head.

"Liam killed my brother. Nick tried to stop Liam from taking drugs at that party. Nick was trying to save his life and he killed him. They beat him and grabbed a bottle, hit him over the head with it repeatedly. I just wanted my brother to come home..." I whimpered. Calum didn't say anything, but his actions spoke louder than his words ever could.

He sat beside me, wrapping an arm around me as he pulled me closer to him until my head was resting against his chest. I didn't hold back in crying and he seemed fine with it. But by the time I had finished, here was a large wet patch on his shirt.

"Sorry." I sniffled, sitting back up.

"No worries. It's better to let it all out, isn't it?" He asked. I nodded, wiping my eyes for the millionth time this day.

"I just don't like to seem weak and all." I mumbled, standing up as Calum did the same.

"Weak? You're the strongest person I've met. I mean, no one would ever know all the pain that you've been through. You're always smiling, laughing, making life seem livable. You're not weak. And crying isn't a thing to be ashamed of, everyone does it." Calum assured. Damn, what a sweet little boy this puppy is.

"You can't tell the rest of the boys okay? Not even Harry knows, and he's the closest out of all the boys." I said. Calum nodded, promising he wouldn't say a word. I smiled as we both walked out to the front of the studio, Benji at the front desk, with another lady.

"Well... I have to get back to work." I said, about to walk away when Calum grabbed a hold of my wrist. I turned around, looking at him questioningly. "What's wrong?" I asked.

"How about you don't get back to work?" He asked, bluntly.

"Cal, I can't just leave, Benji can't do all this on his own." I said, even though I really didn't want to stay here today.

"Don't worry about it, Naomi. I've got it, I'll just call one of my mates in, it's all good." Benji said, insisting that I leave. I sighed, looking back to Calum as he grinned brightly, leading me out of the studio and into the bustling streets of Los Angeles.

I've only just met the guy, but I've trusted him with the biggest secret.
