Twisted Logic

A collection of poetry about the twisted logic of the modern-day world.

20. Tells of a Liar

A twirl of the hair,

a finger through the locks,

a placement before the ear,

can tell a lie.

A bite of the lip,

a chew or a lick,

contact with your teeth,

and the liar is you.

Finger to nose,

nose to finger,

one quick rub,

and we know its a lie.

A stutter or a stammer,

hesitation in the slightest,

a long brief pause,

can identify mistruth.

These tells aren't meant for others,

these tells are meant for you,

your body battling with your mind,

so the right thing you will do.
