Brat Facts

I come from this close-knit family of Brats.
Military Brats, that is.

We go through all of the horrors a military family entails. We face the hardships of our parent being gone for many months at a time and having to learn how to be strong without them.
Sometimes. . . It's a nightmare.

But despite all of the troubled skies that we most often have to face, I know I wouldn't trade this life for anything.

8. Fact 6: Discounts. Discounts Everywhere.

Lots of places that I like to go to eat/shop at are:

-Golden Corral

-Dunkin' Donuts

-American Eagle

-Old Navy

-Under Armour

-Sam's Club

-Dairy Queen

-So many hotels/motels

To name a few.

Coincidentally, all of these places offers military discounts(Depending on where you live).

It's pretty wonderful, actually. The cashiers normally are so much nicer to you than they are to anyone else in line, and sometimes discounts can go up to 50%! Crazy, right?

Sometimes my dad won't even take out his ID to show the cashier, but he'll open his wallet to make sure it's in their peripheral vision, only to just take out cash or his credit card.

And when they do notice his ID, they flip shit.

Like, he does this deliberately to watch their reaction.

It is so funny to watch them get all flustered. They're like, "Sir, I want to personally thank you for your service and I want to let you know that we offer a 15% discount for all active duty members and veterans!"

And then my dad smirks like the little shit he can sometimes be and accepts the discount.
