“She thinks she is; I cannot stand the witch.’

“People voted her in Michael and she’s had two terms of office. If she were that bad they would have got rid of her wouldn’t they.’

“Who the hell did you vote for?’

“That’s my business Michael Fox.’

“Well I never thought that you would go against the Labour party and vote for that old bag.’

“I didn’t say that I’d voted for her.’

“Well who then?’

“Something you will never know Michael.

“Secrets and bloody lies that’s what it is.’

“I’m entitled to my opinion just like you Michael Fox; and no one tells me who I can vote for. It’s the one thing that no-one can take away from me. Women fought for the vote for years.

“What good has it done you; you are still not equal to men and never will be?’

“Why Michael Fox you are a sexist pig.’

”Hey, I don’t make the rules; bloody government does.’

One day things will all change you will see; men only think that they wear the trousers in a relationship but it’s us women who are the backbone. Men couldn’t do what a woman does in a day and if you had to pay us for all the jobs that we do in a day the country would be bankrupt.’

“Women couldn’t do physical labour.’

“We can and we did; who do you think kept this country going whilst our men were away fighting a war?’

“Aye but that was then.’

“It still is, women are still working maybe not for as much money as you men yet but we are getting there slowly.’

“I would like to see that I really would then I wouldn’t have to work four half shifts and Saturday and Sunday morning to bring in a decent wage.’

“Michael it wasn’t long ago you were sat parking your bum on a bar stool all day in the Robin Hood so don’t get all sanctimonious with me.’

“Its your duty to support this family.

“No bloody wonders men die earlier than women; they get nagged into an early grave.’
