10. She Looks So Perfect!

A/N: I'm going to be writing this chapter and the next few chapters in Luke's POV, hope everyone likes this chapter!

"I have the most beautiful girl to talk to right now", I smiled looking Rosie. God she was perfect, her eyes were a beautiful emerald color, that sparkled against the sun and her hair that came just past her shoulders. The beautiful brown color of her hair was just dark enough to not over power her light eyes, and her smile was beautiful with her giggle and dimples, with her nose ring she had just gotten, she was perfect.

"I'm not beautiful", she said making me a but angry. I hated when she doubted me, it was clear that no one had ever told her she was beautiful, and I'm going to be the boy to do that. Even I at the end of the day I break her heart an I'm not the perfect guy for her I will know that I have her my heart to replace hers with.

"Yes, you are Rosie", her name felt natural flowing off my lips. I haven't known this girl more then four days but I've fallen love with her. I never believed in love at first sight until I met Rosie.

"Luke I have something to ask you..", there was a pause and I didn't know if she would ask me the one question I couldn't answer.

"Yes?", I played with the lip ring I had. It was a nervous habit of playing with the cold metal.

"Why are you here? You drove from town to here just to be with me...why?", her voice was sad and seemed broken. I believe Rosie is a wonderful girl who grew up in a broken home with a broken life and that she needs to be loved and put back together.

"Because I like you", I said and looked at her hands that were wrapped around her cup tightly, so tight that I could see her knuckles turning white. "Rosie you're an amazing girl", I said looking at her, she was shocked that I would say that.

"You don't know me", she reached into her bag and grabbed a pen rolling her sleeve up. I looked at her arm and saw a huge and deep cut turning purple and blue, and a hand mark larger then hers but smaller then mine. "I'm not who you think I am" her voice cracked.

"Then tell me who you are", I watched her hand make small motions. She was drawing something but I couldn't tell what it was yet. "Please Rosie"

She looked up at me with a blank and shocked look.

"I'm a story for another day", she paused then looked back down to finish her drawing that was utilizing the cut and bruise to her advantage. It was only ten minute later when she pushed her hair away from her face and replaced the pen back into her bag that I say she had drawn a tree. A dead tree. It was beautiful, the way the bruise had faded into the branches and the way that the cut had created a cut in the tree that looked like it had been bleeding was beautiful every aspect of this drawing told me a small story of hers but left so many more questions unanswered.

"Have you lived here your whole life?", I asked her as she sipped on her tea.

"No, I used to live in LA, then we moved to Kansas for a very short time, and then I've lived here since I was ten", she smiled at me. Her smile was fake and I could see how broken this smile was. It wasn't until I saw her arms that I really notice how broken she truly was.

"Rosie", I said after a short pause. She looked so perfect sitting there. I wanted to kiss her so badly that I felt like if I didn't my heart would break. I didn't kiss her though. I couldn't. "Do you want to go set up for your party?", I asked as she smiled at me.

--- At Rosie's House ---

"Could you help me hang these lights up?", I heard Rosie's voice chirp from the other side of the room. I had been watching her for about five minutes struggle with the lights, unable to movie, then her try and stand on a bench but it fell threw. Walking over to her I put on hand on her hips and then grabbed the lights with the other. She blushed a deep red and then I realized that my hand was still placed on her hip.

"S-sorry", I stuttered out and went back to fixing one of the props. It was a huge jumping spider that blinded in well with the sofa. It was motion activated so if someone walked in front of it and wasn't stopped it would jump out.

"Luke", I heard Rosie's voice low.

"Yes love?", I kept my eyes down. I don't want to face her due to the tears that had formed in my eyes. It physically hurt me not I e able I hold her close at nights. The one night that I stayed at her moms house was very uncomfortable, her mother had me sleep in the front room on the sofa.

"Will you stay the night? It's getting late anyhow and I need everything done by tomorrow morning before I go to the mall for my costume", she said as her voice got closer to me. I was frozen and I didn't know what to do or say, but soon I found words.

"Yes" I smiled.
