84. Chapter Eighty Four

Natalia's POV

"Good morning sunshine." Amber smiled, as I closed my locker shut. I groaned, before walking away from my locker with Amber following behind me. "Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today."

"Someone needs to shut up so my headache can go away."

"Feisty. So, why are you so tired?"

"I got no sleep last night. I was up and down all night. And I slept in the guest bedroom because I didn't want to keep Jase up. But I was coughing all night and practically puking all morning."

"Remember the last time you felt this way? You ended up popping a kid out of you nine months later."

"Trust me, that's not it. I just want to go home and sleep. And cuddle with a garbage can."

"You're looking extremely green." Jackson said, backing away from me.

"I'm aware."

"She's a little grumpy today. Don't take it personal. Someone didn't get her late night sex last night."

"What about sex?" Jason asked, putting his arm on Jackson's shoulder.

I slapped my forehead before shaking my head. "Just... ugh, please, leave me alone. I don't want to speak to anyone."

Jason's POV

"What's up with her?" Jackson asked, as Talia walked away.

"She's mad at me for making her take her medicine this morning. She's mad at the world for making her sick. She's hormonal because she's on her period and the stronger dose of medicine isn't doing her very good because her body isn't used to it."

"And she's embarrassed." I sighed.

"Why is she embarrassed?"

"She got her period all over last night. She didn't realize it until she felt something wet."

"You know, I would love to continue this conversation about fresh period blood, but I got a meeting with the Sargent for the army, so I gotta go."

"Good luck, man." I said, patting his shoulder.

"Thanks, Jase."

"Yo." I answered my phone after three rings.

"Where the hell is this stupid pacifier. Jase, I swear, if I don't find this damned thing, I will throw this child out the window! Make him stop screaming!" Bria yelled through the speaker.

"Bri, I really can't leave school to help you out."

"Can you at least tell me where this stupid thing is, so he can stop screaming his head off?"

"Bri, he's probably hungry. Or he needs to be changed. When was the last time you changed him?"

"Um... I was supposed to change him?"

"Jesus Christ, Bria."

"I'm sorry! Ade won't leave me alone with Sapphire! I don't know how to handle a baby!"

"I'll call Jack. He's at a meeting right now, he should be done in about one hour. I'll ask him if he could come help you after the meeting."

"Can't you get Talia to come home or something?"

"No, I can't. She has some kind of test today, so she can't come, and neither can I. Trust me, I would love to come home, but I can't. I'll call Jack, just don't throw him out the window."

Natalia's POV

"Hey, are you going to eat anything?" Jason asked, pushing my food in front of me.

"Not today, no. I really don't feel good."

"Do you want to go home?"

"No, I can't. I missed too much school."

"Babe, if you don't feel good, you should go home."

"Jase, I'm fine, alright? I just don't feel good, that's all. When I go home, I'll rest."

"You okay? You look really pale." Amber said, setting her books down. "I'm fine." I replied, putting my cheek on my palm. "She's not feeling good, which you probably already know." Jason informed. "Ah, right. The stomach ache." She replied. I nodded.

"Hey, why did I get a text from Bria saying she was gonna throw Tommy out of the window?" I asked, turning to Jason. "Don't worry about that, I took care of it. I told her I would call Jackson after his meeting to go over and take over for her. I swear, she doesn't know how to take care of a kid." He said, with a small smile.

"She seems to take care of Sapphire perfectly fine." I said, looking up. "Yeah, that's because there's no expectations for her. But for us, she doesn't wanna piss off Mama Bear." He replied. I dropped my jaw. "Mama Bear? I am not a Mama Bear!" I defended. "Oh, yes you are. Remember when you took him out for the day to the mall that one day and you went all crazy on that girl who said you were too young?" He asked. "Okay, in my defense, she started it." I replied. "Whatever you say, baby." He smirked. I rolled my eyes are turned my head around.

"Yo." Jackson said, dropping everything on the table. "What are you doing here, I thought I told you to go to my house for the baby?" Jason asked. "I did. When I showed up, your aunt was there already." He replied. "So you just left? Did you go inside?" I asked. "No, I saw her car and left." He replied. Jason and I looked at him. "I'm kidding, damn. I went inside and she told me to come back here." He said. I nodded.

"Jack, prom is next month." Amber smiled, turning her body to face her boyfriend. "I know." He replied. "Anything you want to ask me?" She asked. "Oh, you want me to ask you to prom?" He asked. Amber's jaw dropped, but mine did too. "Wow, okay. I'll go with someone else then." She said, getting up.

"What was that about?" I asked. "Everyone's right. Girlfriend's hold you back." Jackson replied. "You got that right." Jason laughed. "Excuse me?" I asked, turning to my boyfriend. "I was just agreeing." Jason said in defense. "Yeah, this girlfriend gave you a child, which she wasn't supposed to until her twenties. Be grateful." I spat.

"Boys." I sighed, sitting next to Amber. "I don't care. I'll go to prom with someone else. I don't need Jackson." She replied. "Don't say that, you two are literal goals." I smiled. "Us? No, you and Jase are goals." She replied. "Nah, you and Jackson are adorable. Even cuter than Zayn and Gigi." I laughed. She snorted a laugh and nodded.

"Personally, I think they set us up." I said. "What do you mean?" Amber asked, folding her hands over her lap. "Last year, Jason said he wasn't taking me to prom, but that day he asked me. I have a feeling this is the same thing." I smiled. "You think?" I asked. "All men think a like, Ammy." I smiled. "You just called me Ammy." She laughed. I nodded. "TT." She smiled.

Jason's POV

"Well played today, man." I said, patting Jackson's shoulder as we set the backyard up. "You think?" He asked. "She was so pissed." I said, stapling the banner to the tree. "Can you guys stop being little bitches and help me?" Nick asked, as he struggled with the stuffed animals. "Dude, it's not that hard, you realize that, right?" I asked. "Does it look like I ever did this before?" He asked. "Last year." Jackson replied. "That wasn't official." He replied. I rolled my eyes.

"Your kid is putting his face to the grass." Nick said. "Shit!" I exclaimed, dropping the stuffed bear and ran to the baby. I picked him up and held him in my arms as he screamed. "I still can't believe you're a dad." Nick said. "Didn't your daddy teach you how to be a man? Oh, wait." Scott said. "Hey, you're here at my house, with my friends for you fuck buddy. I wouldn't step out of line." I said.

"They're here." Mason said, running to us. "Ready?" I asked. Jackson and Nick nodded. "Here, you hold him." I said, handing Nick the baby. "I never... come on man." Nick groaned. "Shut up." Scott said, putting his hands in front of him.

"What's this?" Amber asked. "Why is Nick holding my baby?" Talia asked. I cracked a smile, before the music started. "No fucking way." Christina exclaimed.

"There's stations around the yard. Find your station and wait there." Nick said. All the girls ran to find their station. One station had stuffed animals, another had a baby doll, the other had a banner with dance on it and the last one had a picture of a white dress.

I walked over to Talia, as she stood with the baby doll. "How'd you know it was this station?" I asked. "Lucky guess?" She smiled, putting her arms around my neck. "You see, this year we wanted it different. So, here's my proposal, asking you to senior prom." I smiled, picking up Tommy.

Tommy started babbling his baby babble, which meant I had to step in. "That means, will you go to prom with daddy?" I asked, sticking my head up behind Tommy. "Yes, you dork." Talia laughed, before kissing me. I looked around seeing Amber with a big smile on her face and tears streaming down her cheeks. Christina had a big smile across her face, and Poppy was just standing their awkwardly with Scott.

"I need to find a dress that actually fits. Those stupid pills made me gain so much weight." Talia groaned. "You look fine." I replied. "So you say. My body doesn't say that. My body is saying, "get rid of this medication." She said. I shrugged. "But I love you, so I won't do that." She smiled. "Good." I replied.
