Maddie Parker, a 16 year old girl who was born into a family of spies. She finally goes to school, meets her best friend Alice and her crush Jason but can she tell her friends the truth?
And what would the consequences be?

11. 11.

“So are you going prom?” I ask without even thinking about what I'm saying.

“Are you?” He replies and I mentally relax. Am I going to prom? I was going with Alice but I don’t know about that now.

“I was going with Alice but that’s not happening now so I don’t know.” I say avoiding Jason’s perfect blue eyes and stepping out of the lift

“Well I was going with Rebecca but that’s not happening now either so if you want we could…”

“Are you asking me out?” I say looking around the room we had just stepped into. Jason leans against the wall and puts one foot up; he raises his eyebrows at my question.

“Badly but that is the aim here. Are you saying yes?” He asks and I finally look him in the eye. My stupid mission is truly and completely forgotten. This is what you’ve always wanted Maddie, so say yes. You’ve got the dress and the shoes, proms in 2 days just go for it.

“Yes. I am saying yes.” He just smiles and I am about to walk over to him when a short bald man walks round the corner.

“What are you 2 kids doing here?” His voice high and squeaky, what you’d expect from a mouse.

“I’m sorry. I'm Jason and this is Maddie. We’re here for an interview with…” Jason pauses, I see his eyes scan the room looking for a name and I jump in with the first name I can think of.

“Mr Sutton. We’re here for an interview with Mr Sutton.”

“Oh, well you should’ve just said so. I’m Daniel, his assistant. He must have set this interview up himself then. I usually handle things like that apart from unique situations like this.” He leads us to a large, spacious office full of books and globes. “Mr Sutton is in a meeting right now but you're welcome to wait here. He should be done in about 10 minutes. Make yourselves comfortable. My desk is just out here if you need anything.”

“What are we going to do?” I whispered urgently as he closed the door. “We have to get out of this.”

“Well we can’t just leave, he’ll see us. There’s got to be another way out.”

“Well I don’t see one do you?” I say sarcastically.

“Well, unless you want to go out of the window on the 37th floor.” He said equally as sarcastically

“No thanks I don’t have a death wish.”

“Well neither do I. As we’re stuck here though we might as well talk. You, me, prom, what do you say?”  I turn away from the window and find he’s standing directly between us with very little space between our lips. The door abruptly opens and we both jump out of our static skins. A tall, broad-shouldered man with black hair and a thin moustache walks in a looks us up and down.
