Calum's POV

"So when are they going to tell you?"

"Sometime this week I think. But who knows, I might not get in." She sighed, rolling her eyes.

"You don't think you'll get in? Come on, Hood. Did you see yourself playing yesterday? You were amazing." I laughed as we walked into homeroom.

"Calum!" I looked around, seeing Luke waving over to me.

"Just hold on a sec." I said to Delilah before walking towards Luke. "What's up, Hemmo?" I asked, leaning against his desk as he sat on his chair. He sighed in a frustrated way and held his head in his hands. "Hey, hey, hey, what's wrong?" I asked. I crouched down so I was level with him. He didn't look at me, head still in his arms.

"I just..." He sat up straight, looking down at me with sad eyes. "Do you think I'm a good guy, Cal? Tell me honestly." I frowned, looking at him confused.

"A good guy? Luke, you're the most innocent guy I have ever met! You'd never hurt anyone!" I said. I'm seriously worried now, Luke is never like this... Ever.

"Then why did Olivia just get up and leave yesterday?"

"Maybe... Maybe she had something going on in the family, Luke. It would have had nothing to do with you." I assured him, standing up.

"Are you sure? I mean-"

"Hey, Luke!" We both looked behind us. Olivia. She walked towards us, mainly to Luke. "Look, I'm so sorry for yesterday at the library. My auntie had just come back from London and we were going to have dinner. I'm really sorry." I looked back at Luke, smirking.

"Oh... Uh, th-that's fine. You don't have to be sorry." Luke stuttered. I rolled my eyes, smiling as I walked back to Delilah, who was talking to... Michael?

"You guys have gotten to know each other, hm?" I asked as I sat down at my desk.

"Well, yeah. Turns out we've got a lot in common, right, Mikey?" Delilah looked to Michael who nodded, grinning.

"Yup. November buddies, pizza worshippers... Oh, and Fifa."

"November buddies? What day are you?" I asked Delilah.

"I'm 19th. Just a day after Mike."

"Oh..." I had an uneasy feeling in the pit of my stomach, but I shrugged it off as Ms. Patrick entered the room.

Delilah's POV

"Can this day get any worse?" I groaned, walking down the halls for almost the eleventh time today.

"Yes, it can." Michael said.

"How?" I asked, curious.

"I dunno, you guess."

"Uh... What? That I'm going to beat you up if you don't tell me now?"

"Okay, okay, Miss. We have a chemistry test today." I gasped, standing still as Michael kept walking,

"We do not!" I said in disbelief.

"Yup." Michael smiled, avoiding eye contact.

"You're lying." I said, grinning.

"Yes. I am lying." He said, giving in. I laughed, shaking my head. He couldn't lie to me. It was easy to tell he was. Then my mind wondered off to Angel.

"Hey, have you seen Ang- I mean Calum?" I stuttered.

"Um. I think he's... OUT ON THE FIELD!" Michael stopped, staring straight our the window to the grass oval outside. And there lay Angel. On the ground. Unconscious.

"Oh my god."

Luke's POV

Olivia and I walked out of the school building, walking over to the oval. As we walked on the crisp grass in silence, Olivia stopped suddenly, eyes on the ground. I frowned, confused as to what she was looking at.

"What's wrong?" I asked, standing beside her.

"There's... There's blood on the grass, Luke." I followed her eyes. Small red droplets on the blades of grass.

"What the hell?" There was a trail of it. As I followed it, I almost froze from shock. "CALUM!" I ran over to his unconscious body on the ground. I knelt down beside him, looking around. He had a bruised cheek. Blood seeping through his shirt. "Shit, shit, shit." I cursed under my breath, not knowing what to do.

"OH MY GOD, CALUM!" I looked back, seeing Delilah and Michael running toward us. I was shoved back by Delilah. And can I just confirm to you that that girl is freakin strong. I made a mental note of not to mess with her.

"What the hell happened?! He's bleeding!" She yelled, looking back at me.

"I-I don't know. I just found him now." I stuttered, looking around. Delilah groaned, pulling her hair behind her ear.

Michael's POV
"Oh my Lord, Cal. You need to wake up." I heard Delilah mumble to herself. With the help of her, Luke and Olivia we were able to get him into his feet. But obviously, since he was unconscious, we had to drag him to the office ourselves.

"We need help. I don't know what happened to him. We found him on the oval." I said, as we entered the office.

"Uh, okay. We'll call the hospital. It looks like he's been hurt too severely for my abilities." I nodded, sitting him down on one of the chairs.

I looked outside the office window as we waited for the ambulance. All I could think about was how he had gotten hurt.

"Haha! Did you see him?! Thought he could just join the team! Who the hell does he think he is?" I walked out the room, following the voices. "I hope he learns his lesson, he'll be lucky if he's able to get out of his bed."

Mitchell. That son of a... Ugh!

I couldn't control the anger surging through my veins. I ran up behind Mitchell, pinning him roughly against the lockers.

"Whoa, what the hell do you think you're doing?!"

"You did it, didn't you?!"

"Do what? Get the hell off me Clifford!"

"Max, Blake." I turned around, hands still gripping Mitchell's shoulders. His friends, Blake and Max were coming towards me.

"HEY! BACK OFF!" We all froze, looking to out right. Delilah. Oh thank the lord.

"And what are you going to do? Make me listen to your crappy music?" Blake asked. I looked over at Delilah. And damn was I happy that I had never seen her this mad before.

"No. But if you don't piss off right now I will not hesitate to beat the crap out of the both of you." I raised my eyebrows.

"You can't tell us to piss off. We're not scared of freaks like you."

Delilah sighed and walked up to Blake who had just called her a freak. He was taller than her, only slightly, but she didn't seem intimidated one bit.

She stared at him coldly for a few seconds, before... Punching him in the nose?!

She turned to Max, who still seemed to be standing strongly. She pulled him in by the collar and kneed him in the groin (a/n: just to let you know. Hearing, writing and saying this word makes me feel uncomfortable... Am I the only one?)

Blake held his bleeding nose, staggering towards Delilah. "Do you want me to hurt you?" She asked calmly. Blake hesitated for a moment before growling and attempting to throw a blow at Delilah. But she caught is arm and kicked him in the... Ooh, ouch. That has got to hurt if you know what I'm saying.

"Now leave. Before I actually get angry." They staggered to their feet, limping off. But there was still Mitchell left. "Listen, Mitch. If you even touch Calum, Michael or any of my friends again, I swear to God I will not hesitate to beat the living shit out of you." I eased my grip off of Mitchell's shoulders. He stood up straight, rolling his shoulders and giving me a cold stare. "Now piss off." He grunted and walked off angrily.

"How did you-"

"Don't ask. Don't tell." And that, my friends, was how I came to meet Delilah Willow.
