The Vacation (Hiro X Reader)

[Sequel to "When You Live In San Fransokyo (Hiro X Reader)"] This time, (Y/N) and the rest of the gang decide to go on a vacation to an island. The vacation should, like any other vacation, be relaxing and stress free...right?

8. Chapter 7: What's Going On

You kept getting calls from that same phone number. Whenever you answered, the only thing you heard was heavy breathing and a scream before the call was ended. No matter what you said, it was always the same. But now and then when you didn’t answer the phone, you would always get another call about an hour later. In other words, you couldn’t avoid this person.

So, when you decided enough was enough, you decided to block the mysterious person. But for some reason, this didn’t work. He/She was still able to call you.

By now, you had talked to everybody. The gang, your dad, even your pet (P/N)! Nobody knew what to do. So in other words, you were screwed.

Now, believe it or not, you had started losing sleep over the issue. It may sound far-fetched but you were seriously freaking out on the inside. Maybe this wasn’t such a smart move on your part, but you hadn’t told anybody about your sleep issue, not even Hiro. Whenever you closed your eyes you would hear the dreadful screaming, and every time you heard it, you thought of your mother.

And, to add to your discomfort, you hadn’t been able to contact your mother. Not by phone, by going to Swimming Smoothies, or by going to her room in the hotel. One day you even asked the lady at the front desk if you could have a key-card to get into your mom’s room. She, obviously, didn’t give it to you at first, but upon you telling her about how she’s your mother and telling her that both your last name’s were the same, she gave in. You promised to give it back to her once you were done.

Once you got in there, you found everything the way it should be. Nothing out of order. You even stayed there the entire day, getting visits from the gang as you waited for her. She never came.

You were so close to breaking. You couldn’t handle this! It had been going on for a week, and you didn’t want this to be the way your vacation ended. So when you got another call from the creepy caller, you about started crying.

“What do you want?!” You cried into the phone. *Heavy breathing* “Please, just stop calling me!” You sniffed, your eyes tearing up. *The heavy breathing stops* “Hello?”

“Hello? Who is this?” That...that sounded like your mom!

“Mom, is that you?”

“(Y-Y/N)? Is that you?” This sounded just like your meeting at Swimming Smoothies.

“Yeah. It’s me. How are you, are you okay?”

“I’m fine but baby, you’re in danger!” This actually didn’t come as that big of a surprise. “These horrible, horrible men are after you!”

“WhatdoIdo?!” You said quickly. ((Translation: What do I do?))

“Just-just don’t go out at night. They’re after Hiro for some reason. They also know you’re close to him, so getting and harming you-” Someone must have taken the phone from your mom, as you could hear her quiet voice pleading to talk to you just a minute longer. Then you heard a loud smacking noise, and your mother fell silent.

“What did you do to her?!” You had tears in your eyes but your face showed anger. “If you hit her-”

“You have 10 hours.” The mysterious man said.

You were supremely confused. “10 hours to-” Was all you were able to get in before the other person ended the call. Great, now you were more screwed than before.

~Timeskip to after you told the gang about what happened

“This is not good at all.” Hiro mumbled. You hadn’t told them about how you were practically crying, and got rid of any evidence that you were before you went to talk to them.

“Ya think?” Gogo muttered.

“What do we do?” You asked. It was 6 in the morning when you got the call, and 5 minutes after the call ended you went to them so you had to wake everyone up. So, whatever might or might not happen that the person was talking about (Or whatever they meant) would happen at 4.

Fred spoke up. “Well, we’ve got option 1, just sit here and do nothing. It could be a prank.” You gave Fred an ‘Are you serious?’ look. “Option 2 is to try and find out where this person is, and find your mother. Then there’s option 3, report this to the authorities.” Yeah, I don’t think option 3 is going to get any of you anywhere.

“I vote option 2.” You stated, looking at everyone.

“Agreed.” Honey Lemon said, giving you a small smile.

“Sure, why not?” Wasabi said, leaning back in his seat.

“Hey, if my girlfriend says option 2, then I’m all for it.” Hiro said. You gave him a smile.

“Option 2 it is.” Fred confirmed. He got up and walked over to his phone.

“What are you doing?” Gogo asked.

“Calling Heathcliff. Someone needs to bring us our suits.” He smirked.

Everyone was suited up, and you were all aboard Baymax headed towards the place that Hiro had said the call came from. You didn’t know how he figured that out, but somehow he did.

When you got there, you were met with a surprise. The place this supposed kidnapper had called from a mansion. Anyway, once Baymax landed, you hopped off and took a couple careful steps forward. There didn’t seem to be any traps or guards anywhere. So, you took another step forward. Scratch that, TRIED to take another step forward. When you were about to put your foot to the ground, someone grabbed your waist and pulled you back into their chest.

“Don’t move.” Hiro said, as he slowly unwrapped his arms from you. He walked over to a tree, snapped off one of the small branches, then walked back to you. He put the branch down on the spot you were going to step on. Nothing happened. His brow furrowed, and he pushed down onto the branch, making the branch push into the ground. Immediately, a dart came out of nowhere and hit the branch. Hiro took a step back, bringing the branch with him. He took the dart out and inspected it.

“Sleep dart.” He announced, turning to you 6. Your expression was surprise, as were the others’.

“How did you know that was there?” You asked. He shrugged, pointing to the direction the dart came from.

“Over there, there’s a red light, meaning something over there is on.” You saw the light he was talking about, and to you, it looked like something was hiding right there.

“Oh, okay.” You nodded. You all boarded Baymax, and flew over the grass, the pool, and over to the chair with the umbrella.

“Fred, Gogo, and Wasabi, you guys take the right stairway. Me, Baymax, (Y/N), and Honey will take the left.” You all followed Hiro’s orders, as you slowly trudged up the steps. Hiro, still, hadn’t made you a suit so you….you had a really unfair disadvantage. Giving an almost inaudible huff, you made it to the top of the stairs. Everyone else was behind you, which was really dumb on their part. The ONE PERSON who DOESN’T HAVE A SUIT is in FRONT of everyone else. Giving a more audible huff this time, you walked over to the patio door windows and looked through them.

The inside looked nice and clean, just like you would imagine a mansion to be. Nice crystal clear glasses sat with a glass plates in front of them, as if the owner was expecting guests. You tried the door and found it to be unlocked. You looked over at the 3 who went up the right stairway, and saw them all there in front of the patio door like you. They looked over at you, as if you were all questioning if you should go inside.

Once you saw that your slow teammates that were going up the same stairway as you were, were behind you, you looked back at the ones across from you, on the right stairway. They nodded, as if to say ‘We can open it now’, so you pulled open the door and stepped through. Seeing no movement, you advanced past the table with the cups and plates and over to a hallway.

Hiro took the lead, as you didn’t have a helmet with lights on it or a helmet in general. As it was dark and creepy in the hallway, you pulled out your crowbar. Yeah, I didn’t mention this, but you brought a crowbar with you. What?! When you don’t have a weapon or a suit, you’ve gotta have something! *Ahem* Anyways, you guys continued to walk around, looking for your mom or anyone else.

You had explored the entire level, and found no one. You were frustrated, sad, and lost on what you should do. After about another loooong hour of searching the house, you had explored everywhere but the basement.

You backed away from the door and stated: “I am not going first.” Everyone looked at with confused/amused expressions. “What? You never know what’s hiding down there!” They laughed softly at you. You pouted.

“Alright, I’ll go first.” Hiro said, walking through the door and down the stairs, all of you following. You, of course, were the last one to go down. If anything happened, you would be the first to be able to get out of there.

When the traffic of people (and Baymax!) going down stopped, you wondered what was happening. Well, you were wondering until you heard Hiro’s voice say: “Riley?”
