A Ballad for Death

A compilation of the first 500 poems I ever wrote.
I write in my free time accross different styles and themes, sometimes there are reasons to what I write and sometimes there are not, but I always try to follow my inspiration.

409. Threads of midnight crying

Threads of midnight crying

Upon the silent world,

Old spirits are prying

And young notes rain down, pearled,

A lone soul goes to sleep,

Another one wakes up,

The oceans start to weep,

The world border breaks up,

And all I can think of

Despite the haunting dance

Of the great fires above

Is just this one lost chance…
