Out in South Park

Rosalynn is not your average teenager. She loves to draw, skateboard, hang with the guys, and is quite innocent. Her dad's job requires her family to move quite often, so when he lets them know the day after school ends for the summer that they have to move. No one is really surprised. They pack up and head out of California to a small little town in Colorado called South Park. Rosalynn has no trouble getting friends, but what happens when she falls for one? Why does she feel so close to everyone right off the bat? Why is South Park such a weird town?
(The cover art I did not draw. It's from Deviant Art by the user kamaniki. I also do not own any of the South Park characters and landmarks that I will use, obviously. That credit goes to Trey and Matt.)

13. Elves

We enter Kyle’s backyard and my eyes go wide in awe. There’s a large tree with ladders and platforms on it, kids chilling on it. Tents are set up everywhere. In the back is a raised platform with Kyle’s throne. I spot a nice armory to the right as well.

“The Princess has returned!” Stan shouts.

Cheers erupt and I’m surround by Drow Elves.

“Thank you,” I smile “I’m glad to be back.”

“Elves,” Kyle’s voice fills my ears. “Please don’t crowd her.”

“Hello, king,” I curtsy.

“Princess Rosa,” Kyle smiles and grabs my hand. “It’s good to have you home.”

The Elven King isn’t my dad, even though I am the Elven Princess. My parents were killed years ago in a battle between humans and elves. Kyle, the highest Jew elf, became the Elven King. He kept me as princess, and we became great friends. Though, he has a crush on me, and I’m in love with Princess Kenny.

“Care to talk in my tent?” Kyle asks.

I smile, “Catch me up on everything I missed.”

He leads me to his tent and I take in his outfit. There’s a crown of twigs over his green hat; a red robe with gold trim and Elven markings over his orange jacket.

We enter his tent and I take in the little his tent has. A nice cot with a big pillow and fluffy blanket, on the right, a couch on the left, and a desk in the middle.

“Have a seat,” Kyle motions to the couch.

I take a seat in the middle of the couch, “The kingdom seems even better since I was here last.”

“It is, some more kids have joined,” Kyle sits down on the cot.

“That’s good.”

“How were the humans to you? Did they ever hurt you? Why did it take so long to come back? It’s been years,” Kyle’s staying in character and it’s fantastic. Everyone else needs to try harder to be as good as Kyle.

“They were, quite different. They never hurt me. And I took so long to come back because I fell in love,” I look down at my feet.

“You fell, in love?”

“Yeah, with Princess Kenny.”

“Wait, so you like girls?”

“I guess. So, I can’t stay here long,” I yawn. “I promised her I’d go back.”

“Oh, well, at least rest up,” Kyle stands up. “And stay a few days. The kingdom has missed their princess.”

I smile and stand up, “I guess I can stay a few days.”

“Good,” Kyle places his hands on my shoulders. “You’ll have to come back more often though. Every few years is too long.”

I laugh, “I’ll agree with that.”

“Well, I’ll leave you to take a nap,” he kisses both my cheeks and then exits the tent.

With a smile on my face, I climb onto the cot and get comfortable. My dress making it hard to get as comfortable as I’d like.

As I drift off to sleep, Kenny pops into my mind. He must know this is my home. This is where I belong. I just can’t help missing him a lot.

*The Next Day*

“A surprise?” I giggle as Stan twirls me.

We are in a field of flowers and Stan is just being silly with me.

“The cutest princess ever deserves a surprise,” Stan fixes the tiara on my head.

Kyle didn’t like the crown the humans gave me, so he gave me a twig tiara. It’s got flowers and fits perfectly. I’m glad to be getting back to my Elven roots.

“So, when do I get my surprise?” I ask.

“It should be arriving soon,” Stan brushes something off my dress.

“I’m not sure if I’ll be able to leave this place after realizing how awesome it is. I love it here.”

“Good, because we can’t lose our princess again,” Stan grabs my hand and quickly kisses it.

“I feel like I have lost my Elven side. I’ve been with the humans too long. I have made up my mind. I’m staying here.”

“That’s great. But what about Princess Kenny?”

“We’ll have to visit each other. The humans accept me, so I can always go to them and visit.”

“The elves have made an exception this one time so I can visit you,” Kenny’s voice shocks me.

“Your surprise is here,” Stan chuckles.

I turn and see Princess Kenny and the smile on my face is huge. “My love, oh how I’ve missed you.” I rush to him, throwing my arms around his neck in a hug.

“And I missed you,” Kenny kisses the top of my head.

“This is a great surprise,” I pull away from Kenny and look at Stan. “Thank you, kind warrior.”

“The King is the one who really made it happen,” Stan says. “It took a lot to convince him, though. He still thinks this is all a trick to help the humans.”

“It’s not,” I blurt out. “We would never do something like that. The King doesn’t trust me?”

“He trusts you. He doesn’t trust Princess Kenny.”

“I’m here to see you, and that’s it,” Kenny whispers in my ear. His lips so close I get goosebumps on my arms for some reason.

“I’ll leave you two, then,” Stan nods and walks away.

“Let’s just stay here and make some flower crowns,” I grumble and sit down among the flowers.

“As long as I’m with you,” Kenny smiles.

*The Next Morning*

I sing along with everyone in the church as the choir leads us. Well, almost everyone. I can see Stan isn’t singing, I know for a fact Ashlyn isn’t singing, and Kenny is just humming.

The pastor tells us to sit down, and it’s time to wrap this all up.

Kenny kisses the back of my hand and scoots closer to me.

I sigh and rest my head on his shoulder.

We’ll be heading to Tweek Bros Coffee, Tweek’s dad’s coffee shop, after this.

“When is he going to stop talking?” Kenny whispers to me.

“Calm down,” I whisper back. “It’s almost over.”

“I’m calm.”

“Sure you are.”

“You are released,” the pastor says.

Kenny stands up, pulls me with him, and starts speed walking out to his truck.

“You made me miss the end,” I pout.

“Sorry,” Kenny kisses my cheek and opens the passenger truck door.

“I’ll accept your apology this time,” I hop into the truck and he closes the door.

Karen and Ashlyn hop in next, giggles escaping their mouths at something Karen said. Then Kenny hops into the driver’s seat, and in seconds we are off.

“Do you think Tweek will give you another cookie, Rosalynn?” Karen asks.

“Hm, maybe,” I smile. “He has all the other times.”

Kenny grabs my hand, “Tweek is very sweet to you.”

“He is. I hope to be good friends with him.”

“Moved on to a new guy already?” Ashlyn teases.

“Shut up,” I sigh and squeeze Kenny’s hand, trying to give off that’s he’s the one form me. “No, Tweek is not who I’m crushing on.”

“So you admit Kenny is your crush.”

“I did not say that.”

“But he is.”

“You know I am,” Kenny laughs.

“And Rosalynn is Kenny’s crush,” Karen says.

“Oh, I’ve known that since day one,” I smile.

*A Few Hours Later*

“All of these, for me?” I ask in awe as Tweek holds out a container of chocolate chip cookies to me.

“Yes,” Tweek smiles. “I made them all by myself and though you would like them.”

“If you don’t take them, I will,” Cartman says.

“I’m taking them,” I smile and take the container from Tweek. “Thanks a bunch, Tweek.”

“Y-you’re w-w-welcome,” Tweek smiles a bit bigger.

“Oh, you stutter,” I pout. “But you didn’t when you first talked, not that doesn’t mean you can’t stutter. But, not sure where this train of thought was going.”

“Yeah. It comes in b-bursts.”

“You’ve gotten better, dude,” Kyle says.

“I guess so.”

“You’re very sweet, nonetheless,” I lean up and pull Tweek down a bit so I can kiss his cheek.

Tweek’s cheeks become heavily dusted with red, “I th-think you’re sweet.”

I get comfortable in Kenny’s side and feel a blush on my cheeks now. “We should hang out sometime then.”

“Yeah, I’d like that.” He twitches a little bit. “I’ll be off to work,” he rushes off.

“Wow Rosa,” Stan says. “I can’t believe you can kiss people on the cheeks like that. Just to give thanks.”

I shrug, “That’s just how I roll.”

“It’s cute,” Kenny says.

“You’re okay with it?” Cartman asks.

“Fuck yeah. They are just cheek kisses of friendship.”

“That’s a good way to put it,” I say.

“Are you really going to eat all of those?” Cartman eyes the cookies.

“Do you want one?”

“Everyone can have one then,” I open the container and we all take one. Then I close the container and set it by my side.

“Tweek can make a good cookie,” Stan says.

“They are pretty fucking good,” Kenny adds.

I take a bite of mine and smile, “Tweek knows how to cook.”

“That’s the truth,” Kyle says.

“So guys, more Stick of Truth this coming week?”

“Of course,” Cartman says. “And maybe big battles will happen.”
