Music, Love, and Everything in Between

Michael and Samantha had been one of the best couples that you would ever meet. But once distance, and another player gets added onto the board, they are not so sure their relationship is as strong as they hoped.

24. 24

“Guys, there is something I have to tell you.” Ashton said one day. It was two months after Michael and I had gotten engaged and we had already picked a date and were almost done figuring everything else out when Ashton came up to all of us.

“What is it man?” Calum said.

“I’ve been trying to keep it a secret, but you have to know at some point right?” he said.

“Get to the point buddy.” Luke said.

“I have a girlfriend.” He said while getting a huge grin across his face.

“I CALLED IT!” I jumped out of my chair and looked at Jackie and Kennedy.

“Called what?” The guys said in unison.

“Oh, nothing.” I faded out and slowly sat down back into my seat.

“Right,” Michael said as he turned back to Ashton, “what’s her name mate?”

“Hanna.” Ashton said, “She’s from America and she’s a model.” Jackie kicked the back of my leg and smiled at me, we all doubted it, but she was right.

“How did you manage that?!” Michael said jokingly.

“Well, we just kind of met a couple months ago, and we’ve been seeing each other since.” Ashton replied.

“Okay we’re either super embarrassing, or she is, if you didn’t want us to know about her.” Said Jackie.

“No, she’s super cool, it’s just she lives in America, so it’s kind of hard for you to meet her, ya know?” He replied.

Kennedy piped up, “But we will meet her?”

“Totally.” Ashton said as he sat down on the chair across from Michael and me, and started looking through one of the wedding catalogues. Michael looked at him and started laughing. I was currently in the process of finding a wedding dress, but I didn’t want Michael to know what it might look like, so Kennedy, Jackie and I went into the bedroom to look through the stacks of dress magazines that I had. We had been looking for quite some time when my calendar alarm buzzed, alerting me of the bridal appointment that I had.

“Are you guys ready?” I asked Kennedy and Jackie.

“Totally!” They responded. We headed out to the front door when the guys asked where we were going.

“Don’t you remember? I have a bridal appointment!” I yelled from the front door.

“Right, and why can’t I come with you?” Michael hollered back.

“Because, the groom isn’t supposed to see the bride in her wedding dress until she walks down the aisle!” I shouted with the door open and the girls already out in the car.

“Fine! Have it your way!” Michael shouted back.

“I will!” I said as I went out the door and headed out to the car. I was super pumped, this was my second appointment, and I felt sure that we were going to find my dress.

The salon was beautiful, there were white dresses everywhere. It just seemed so pristine, pure, and perfect. Now, the daunting task of finding a dress for my wedding. Two dresses, now five, soon to be six, I wasn’t sure I would find the one for me, but then our consultant walked in with one of the most beautiful dresses I had ever seen. It was a mermaid dress with lace from the tops of my thighs up, with a sheer sleeveless neckline. The bottom was ruffled with just a little bit of bling at the tips of the fabric. The back was cut out in a key hole fashion, exposing my back. This dress had to be mine. I walked out of the fitting room to where my mother, Michael’s mom, Kennedy, and Jackie were sitting. I heard small gasps as I stepped onto the podium in front of the mirror.

          “You look…” My mother said.

“Stunning.” Kennedy finished. I looked into the mirror at this flawless dress. Tears collected at the base of my eyes as I envisioned myself walked down the aisle to my sexy beast.

“This is my dress.” I whispered to myself as I turned around to face my family and friends. “This is my dress.” I laughed as a tear left my eye and rolled down my cheek. They all came up and hugged me. Minimal words were exchanged, I knew that this is what they wanted because this is what I wanted. I was ready to be married.
