Music, Love, and Everything in Between

Michael and Samantha had been one of the best couples that you would ever meet. But once distance, and another player gets added onto the board, they are not so sure their relationship is as strong as they hoped.

15. 15

I decided to ignore the call, I wasn’t in the mood to talk to Michael tonight. I was too drunk to even care about anything. I felt kind of bad that I didn’t call him back, but I mean, he was my boyfriend, he would love me more than anything in the world.

“I mean, they don’t understand! Don’t they realize? They are slowly being killed and they don’t even realize it!” I said with the camera following me.

“Hey, calm down, you have to remember, they are giving back to the people.” Evan said as he walked up to me, a camera following him as well.

“I just can’t take this right now!” I was about to walk out the door when Evan grabbed me by the arm.

“Wait,” This wasn’t scripted, this wasn’t supposed to happen. He kissed me right then and there. Unscripted, unplanned, unprepared for. I melted into the kiss, “Take that for good luck.” I smiled as I walked out the door, which was scripted.

“That was good! Evan I had no idea about that! But it worked, good job.” The director said as he stepped out of his chair.

“That wasn’t scripted? He actually kissed me? Nobody knew about it!” I thought to myself as I walked over to the food table. I looked down to my hand where I had drunkenly written on my hand to call Michael. Since I was on break, and they needed to watch the footage, I decided to call him.

The phone rang about 10 times before I heard a voice on the other end, “Hello?”

“Hey, Michael I – “I started saying when I was cut off.

“This isn’t Michael, its Calum.” Calum said into the phone.

“Oh right, Hi! Can you pass the phone to Michael for me?” I asked Calum

“Uh, Michael sort of doesn’t want to talk to you right now.” Calum said awkwardly.

          “And why not?” I replied.

“Well,” Calum started slowly, “to quote Michael, he said ‘She didn’t care, so I don’t care.” Calum finished, I had nothing to say.

“Well, okay then, you can tell Michael, don’t count on those nightly calls, if he doesn’t care that much.” I said and then I hung up the phone. I couldn’t believe this. Michael and I had gotten into fights before. But those were petty, like who would unload the dishwasher, or whose turn it was to do the laundry, but nothing as serious or as intense as this. If Michael wanted to play the game, he better be prepared to loose.

I walked up to Evan after my failed attempted to reach Michael. “What was that?” I asked him playfully.

“I thought it would work really well in the script.” Evan responded while messing with a piece of paper.

“Uh huh, sure.” I responded smiling.

“Why? Did you want it outside of the script?” He responded while letting the strip of paper unroll.

“I’m not sure, but that was very sneaky.” I replied while started to walk over to the makeup lady who was motioning for me to come over. He stared at me as I walked over and sat in the chair where she was fixing my makeup, trying to make me look flawless. Our gaze met and he immediately looked away, I swear that boy.
