Music, Love, and Everything in Between

Michael and Samantha had been one of the best couples that you would ever meet. But once distance, and another player gets added onto the board, they are not so sure their relationship is as strong as they hoped.

13. 13

Today was the day. The day I went back to Australia. Michael would have to stay in America for the rest of the tour, but we would see each other at the end of the tour. I had packed everything I needed, double and triple checked the schedule to make sure I wasn’t late, and said goodbye to my baby.

“I’ll see you in September.” I said while giving him a hug. I still wore my double eighth note necklace. I had never taken it off since he gave it to me at the airport.

“I love you.” He said as he slid his hands into the back pockets of my skinny jeans. My hands wrapped and my hands went around his neck.

“I love you to the moon and back.” He chuckled and glanced down at his tattoo. We stood there for a moment, our foreheads pressed together. He gave me a quick peck on the lips and we separated.

I was heading for the gate when I heard Michael, “Sams! Wait!” I turned around. All I saw and felt was Michael grabbing me by the waist and pulling me into him. His lips pressed against mine. I graciously kissed him back. Several children “ewwwed” as they walked by. I couldn’t care less. It seemed like an infinity, our lips intertwining with every kiss. We were interrupted by the loud speaker saying it was the last chance to board for my flight.

“I will miss you.” I said as I pulled away from his kiss.

“I will think about you every day.” Michael said as I widened the distance between us. I wouldn’t be this close to Michael for a while I thought to myself as I boarded my plane. I turned around and waved to Michael and the boys. I had forgotten they were standing there the whole time. I sat in my seat and plugged myself into 5 Seconds of Summer. I guess this was my way of staying close to the boys.

I arrived on set a couple days after I said goodbye to My Mikey. It was a very large scale movie, and you could tell by how nice the set was. I was so excited to get this started, Tally was such a strong character and I was positive I could do a good job portraying her. In the story Tally was meant to fall in love with somebody (like most movies) his name was Logan. I had never met the actor before, but his character seemed cool, so the actor must be pretty cool. Before I got to even meet any of the other cast I had to sign page upon page on contract. There was one for the job in general, talking about how long they hired me for, and everything else. There was one for stunts, because I would be doing stunts (Yay!). There were a couple others about my pay, and the way they would use the movie, and more stuff. I headed over to the room where the PA directed me to so that we could do a read over of the script.

“Oops, sorry.” I said as I ran into someone.

“Not at all, I wasn’t watching where I was walking.” The man said as he helped me pick up a couple papers I had dropped. “I haven’t seen you around here, are you one of the actors?” He asked.

“Yeah, I’m Samantha, everyone calls me Sam. But I’m playing Tally.” I said.

“That’s sweet, I’m Evan, and I’m playing Logan.” David said.

“So we will definitely see more of each other, being lead roles and all.” I said as I assessed what I would be acting with. Evan was a very handsome person. His jaw line was chiseled, his eyes were bright blue, dark hair. He was tall, but not too tall, and he was very pretty. But he wasn’t Australian, he had an American accent.

“Most definitely. Are you heading over to script reading?” He said.

“Yeah, I am.” I replied while slowly walking towards tables.

“Cool, I wasn’t sure where they were so I am just going to follow you.” He said as he walked with me. “So, you have an Australian accent, where did you live?”

“I was born in Australia, and I lived just outside of Sydney.” I say

“That’s pretty cool, how old are you?” He asked me.

“I’m 20, I’ll be 21 in October,” I replied, “why, how old are you?”

“I just turned 22 in June.” He responded.

“Oh!” I exclaimed, “Well, happy late birthday.”

“Thanks.” He said. We made it to the script reading where we received lines for the whole movie. This movie was totally different from my last. My last was about a girl getting over struggles, while this one was more action packed and pretty kick ass. I was excited. I had called Michael that night with all of my important news:

M: Me

T: Michael

M: Hey babe! How’s it going?

The going is good, were in a tour bus right now and it’s getting really hot really fast. How is Australia?: T

M: Just as hot as ever, but luckily where I am staying its air conditioned.

It’s air-conditioned on the bus, but you really can’t tell because of all the people here: T

M: Oh okay, You won’t believe who I get to fall in love with in this movie!

Really? Who is it?: T

M: No! You have to guess!

Uh, okay, Hugh Jackman?: T

M: He’s too old for the part!

Right, right, so are you gonna tell me or do I have to keep guessing all night?: T

M: Dude, its Evan Smith!

I have no idea who he is, but Yayyyy!: T

M: Don’t sound too excited

I won’t I promise, but promise me you won’t actually fall in love with him?: T

M: How can I when I’m already in love with somebody else?

We continued talking into the night. I got to talk with each of the guys. Calum said Michael was like a mopey kitty without me and that they really needed me back. I just laughed and told them he needed to grow up. I was passed around to all of the stage crew and exchanged awkward hellos and goodbyes. I finally said goodnight to Michael around one in the morning. Partly because we were tired, but also because we heard Ashton yell from his bunk for us to shut up.
