Chapter 20

          *Cora's POV*

          One day later, I am still not fully recovered from what occurred, but unfortunately someone thought that it would be a good idea to bang on my door first thing this morning.

        *BANG, BANG*

        "I'm coming! Geez." I shout, stumbling over to the door.

        Finally, ripping open the door, "What do you want?" I growl.

        "Sorry to bother you miss, but I am here to inform you that your time here has ran out. You only reserved this room for three days, so we must ask you to leave unless you would like to add on another night for more money?" the lady asks, politely.

        "Shit," I mumble to myself, "No it's alright. I'll pack up and get out of here."

        "Okay, but please do hurry because we already have a couple hoping to reserve this room." she says, smiling.

        I nod my head, "Will do. I'll be out to turn in the key in a minute."

        "Okay, miss. It was wonderful doing business with you!" she grins, before turning and disappearing down the hallway.

        I hang my head and trudge back into the bedroom, grabbing my suitcase. I walk around the room picking up the three days of used clothes around the room and stuff them in the suitcase.

        Where am I supposed to go now?

        *Zach's POV*

        "Come on man! It'll be fun!" one of my friends, Jack, shouts from the other end of the phone.

        "I don't know, Jack. I have a lot of homework to do tonight." I lie.

        "Zach, you and me both know that, that's total bullshit. Just come over. We haven't had a guys night in forever. All you have been worrying about lately is that Corine chick." he grumbles.

        "It's Cora and I swear if I hear one word about her tonight I will fucking slaughter you and this better not be a damn party." I growl.

        "It's not, promise. So you're coming?" he asks.

        "Yes, but I mean it Jack. One word and you and all your friends are dead. Kapish?" I snap.

        "Kaposh. See you then, Zach." he cheers.

        What did I just get myself into?

~~~~~~
"Hey bro! You made it!" someone screams at me, over the blaring music.
        I look around the room of people in front of me and spot Jack leaning on the wall by the kitchen.
        "Jack!" I shout.
        He lazily looks over at me.
        "Hey bro, glad you made it." he slurs.
        "You said this wasn't a fucking party." I growl.
        "It's not. This is nothing like the parties I normally throw. This is just a get together with a couple friends and music and alcohol. Okay, maybe this is a party." he chuckles.
        "I told you before that I didn't want to go to any more parties since the last one." I snap.
        "Ohh, yeah, I don't why you got so angry about that Amanda was fucking hot. Oh that's right it was because of that uptight best friend of yours. Right..." he trails off.
        "I said not a fucking word." I sneer, grabbing ahold of the front of his shirt and slamming his back into the wall.
        "Whoa bro, I didn't say anything bad. I'm speaking the truth." he yelps, holding up his hands.
        "I told you not to talk about her and yet you did. What did I tell you I was gonna do if you said anything about her?" I lean in closer.
        "Um, slaughter me? Look I'm sorry man." he gulps.
        "If I hear one more word out of your fucking mouth about her, you're a dead man. Do you hear me?" I threaten.
        "Y-yeah." he stutters.
        "Good." I mumble, dropping my hold and heading towards the kitchen.
        I walk over to the kitchen, grabbing a beer, and trying to calm down. I splash some water on my face and grip the edge of the counter.
        "Hey, Dawson! Where's that girl you were with the last time?" someone calls.
        I grip the counter harder.
        "Yeah, I think her name was Corine or something. Man, she was fucking hot." they say.
        My knuckles are white because of my grip on the counter.
        "All I wanted to do was take her back to my house and fuck her. She looked innocent too. Damn, she would have been a great fuck." they add.
        Steam is practically coming out of my ears at this point.
        "So how about you give her my number or something? I would love to get a piece of that ass-" I cut him off.
        I spin around and give him a death glare. When my fist connects with his nose, I can feel the crunch of bones under my fist from the force of the punch.
        "NOBODY TALKS ABOUT MY GIRL LIKE THAT!" I rage, slamming my fist repeatedly into his face.
        "Jesus, Zach! Calm down." Jack shouts, latching a hand onto my arm.
        I stop my attack and rip his hand off my skin. I hear the bones crack as I twist his hand back.
        "DON'T FUCKING TOUCH ME! DOES ANYONE ELSE WANNA FUCKING TRY SOMETHING?!" I scream.
        Everyone looks at me in complete shock and fear. I glare down at the two dickheads on the floor. I walk over to the mystery guy and kneel down to his level.
        "If I ever hear you say something like that again I will personally plan your demise." I threaten and turn towards the door.
        "Oh, and Jack? Don't you ever say a word about Cora again or you won't be able to walk." I growl and storm out of the house.
