Chapter 6...

I pull up to the large, familiar building. I back my car into a parking spot and put it in park before turning it off. The door shuts rather loudly and I run inside the building. I see the receptionist, known as Charlene.

"Hello Ms. Scarlet Faye, what can I help you with?" She asks.

"You can call me Scarlet. And I'm supposed to be meeting Josh with a band, he told me the studio was in the basement but told me to ask you the room number." I told her.

"Yes, give me a moment dear." I could hear her typing at an incredible pace. "When the elevator doors open to the basement, you're going to go to your right down the hall, all the way to the end. Its the last door on the right side." She said sweetly.

"Thank you." I smiled at her.

I walked to the elevator and pressed the button and waited for the elevator doors to open. Once they did, I stepped inside and hit the button that spelt 'BASE1'. The elevator descended slowly and the doors opened once again. I exited the elevator and headed to my right like Charlene had instructed.

I looked around at the basement. It was kind of sketchy. The walls were concrete and cracked, and hanging from the ceiling were lights that you would see in a school. However, they were broken and barely working, causing the hall to be quite dark. This building brought back memories I had suppressed. The thought of them gave me chills. I continue down the hallway until I finally get to the last room on the right. I sigh, then knock on the door.

Josh comes to answer it and places hid index finger to his lips, telling me to be quiet. I simply nod. We both walk in and the room is broken into two sides. One side is for recording, the other is for the people who aren't being recorded.

Josh motions for me to take a seat beside him.

"Here. Put these on, you'll be able to hear them." He whispers while handing me a pair of headphones.

"Thanks." I whisper back.

I take the headphones and put them on. I can hear muffled voices but thats all. I look out of the small window thats in front of me that leads into the recording part of the room and find that it's empty.

All of a sudden the door opens and I see four extremely tall and good looking guys walk in. They look to be about my age. I look at my lap, feeling an anxiety attack approaching.

My breathing quickens and I can feel my heartbeat in my chest, my blood pumping too fast. My room begins to spin and I feel like I'm drowning. My hands are shaking rapidly as I pull off my headphones.

"I-I'll be right b-back." I stutter out.

I rush out of the room and sit on the wall outside of the room.

"Shit." I mutter.

I hug my knees to my chest and try to catch my breath. A tear escapes my eyes and falls to the floor. My body burns.

These boys remind me of all the bullies. They have the aura of popularity. And that frightens me. It makes me think of the bullies, and everything that wrong in my life.

I stay out here for a good half an hour before quietly going back in the room and taking my seat.

"You alright?" Josh asks quietly.

I nod.

I place the headphones on my head and listen to them play. I have to admit they are amazing.

I listen carefully to each word that is being sung as well as each chord being played and each beat. It flows together perfectly.

I didn't look at who was playing what or singing what. I kept my eyes on my hands, that were still shaking.
