I am what I am.

A poem for the Poetry Competition.

1. I am what I am.

During the day I wait,

During the night I howl.

It’s not up to me,

It’s up to fate,

They who make me prowl.

I stand from two to four,

As the moon rises high,

An animal I become at night.

From feet to paw,

No more a guy,

It’s me who gives you such a fright.

Hear my limbs break,

From screams to howls,

I disturb the night,

It’s the world I awake.

No more skin,

Only long thick fur,

It covers me all over.

It’s not a sin,

To prowl and lure,

A werewolf I am my lover.
