Jasmine by Moonlight

Two young girls on a caravan holiday meet two young lads from Whitley Bay.
One of them is a promising artist who works for his father who owns the rides in the Spanish City Amusement Park. This is a story of love and prejudice between a Multi millionaire Spanish father and the English Art Student. The father does not think that this man is good enough for his daughter, although he is married to a Scottish woman.

The bike was black and yellow in colour it could reach a top speed of one hundred and eighty miles an hour.

She slid her arms around Gerry’s waist as they sped off.

Gerry was enjoying the first real contact between them as he rode the bike with supreme confidence along the seafront past the Rex Hotel then the High Point and onto Tynemouth. Jasmine asked about the castle there and Gerry told her it was called Tynemouth Priory. The 2000 year old castle had also a monastery within it. The Anglo Saxons defended the fort here he told her from invaders. Later the rocks near by had caves where smugglers would hide their booty. It was known as “Jingle Geordies Hole.”

“A very interesting history, I should like to visit the castle before we leave next Friday.

Gerry parked his motor cycle outside the house which didn’t seem that big from the outside but the inside was huge with paintings of landscapes, still life, and animals.

She stopped to look at a white stallion that Gerry had painted. The horse had reared up on its back legs. The detail was amazing she thought.

Do you have a horse Jasmine?

“Yes my papa has stables in Andalusia; he is a horse breeder; as well as one of the leading wine growers in Spain. He also produces olives from his olive groves.

“So you get your Spanish looks from your father.

My mamma was born in Falkirk; then moved to Stirling When she got married.

“Why does she not live in Spain?

“It’s because my grandmamma is disabled and cannot travel. My mamma looks after her.

“Ah I see; Gerry now had a sketch pad in his hand and a pencil and was making quick sketches as Jasmine walked around his studio. The sun shone in from the window which made her hair look like the shine you would see on a thoroughbred race horse.

Her soft features were enhanced by her cheekbones. Her face was almost angelic, her blue eyes were like two sapphires and her lips were full and ruby red.

He took in every detail of her as he sketched away. Gerry was born with a photographic memory which helped him draw and paint from virtual memory.

Jasmine turned and saw him sketching.

She looked at the drawing and said ‘you flatter me Gerry.”

I would love to paint you he said as you are such a wonderful subject.

“Is this your way of seducing girls Gerry?

If it were then my studio would be full of paintings.

“Why would you want to paint me then Gerry?

“Because I like to paint beautiful things; and you are truly beautiful. ‘ To capture the moment in time can be rewarding.

Jasmine blushed which made her even more beautiful.
