3. Chapter 3- Australia

"Ok, sit down everyone, today we will be learning about the English Civil War!" Mr Jacobs doesn't move Luke, because he already liked the seating plan. When sir turns around to hand out some textbooks, I hear a giggle from Luke. Intrigued, I lean over to see what he's looking at. Luke notices me over is shoulder and passes me a note the Sydney had given to him. It looked as though she had ripped it out of her book. I had to hold back the anger just then, she ripped a book?!

The note read, in very fancy hand writing;

"Hey! I just realised you were from Australia, and if I did my geography homework right, Sydney's in Australia. We were meant to be!"

I laugh to but not to loudly, the person behind me would have wanted to see, and I would of been scared and given it to them. I was actually surprised that Martin hadn't found out about Sydney's little plan to get Luke yet. It's not like it's not obvious.

Every several minutes, Sydney is scooting her desk closer to Luke's, he glances over at me for some help. My eyes widen, I couldn't tell her to leave him alone. She would probably throw her desk at my head again. I didn't want to spend another three hours in a hospital waiting room, just for them to tell me to put some ice on it.

By the time I have finished the questions in the textbook, the bell rings, telling us that it was second break, last lesson was science. Luke pees over at me and passes me a quick note,

"Meet you where we met in five?" I smile at him and head straight behind the science department. The sixth formers are playing football like they always do after the last PE lesson.

Today has probably been the best school day of my life. Luke actually seems like a legit friend, he's really smart. I don't know though, because he seems to hang around with the populars, and he doesn't even like them.

In the middle of my thoughts, I see Luke stumbling over pieces of wood and plastic. I laugh at him and give him my hand to help him through it all.

"Wow, thanks." He looks behind him at all the mess. Astonished that the school lets it pile it up like this. It is a little weird, they could of put it in recycling.

"So how's Sydney?" I question glancing over at him, he's already staring at me, ever since he sat down.

"Ugh. She is so annoying, I've never said this before but I really want to punch her in the face." He laughs.

"Aw, but that would ruin her nose job." I say sarcastically and he catches on.

"Oh yeah, couldn't ruin that beautiful piece of work." His eyes widen to say it as a joke, we laugh together whilst I look around for something I could sit on, Luke sat on the only chair.

"What are you looking for?"

"A chair..." Luke looks around, not getting up.

"Come on then." I turn around and he hasn't gotten up, but he's patting his lap for me to sit on it. I hesitate for a moment, but then take the offer, my legs are already aching from standing on uneven ground. I plop down on his lap, so I can still see his face.

"That better?" I nod, Luke starts bouncing his legs up and down making me nearly fly off if his arms weren't wrapped around me.

"Argh! Stop it!" I giggle, he stops and pulls me tight to hug him, I hug him around his shoulders. But then to my luck, the bell goes, Science.
