11. Chapter 10

3 Days Later

McKynzi's POV

"Why are you always on your phone?" Raven asks, peeking over my shoulder. I shove my phone into my chest and smile.

"I can't be on my phone?"

"Not this much! Who are you talking to?" she shoves my shoulder slightly.

"Michael," I smile as his name leaves my lips.

"Oh my god, yes!" she squeals and I cover my ears, "I knew it! You guys are so cute and agh! Why?!"

"I'm sorry I'm in a cute relationship," I laugh.

"You're dating?!"

"Uh... Yeah. For like 3 days," I say, blushing slightly.

"AND IT'S GONNA LAST A LIFETIME!" she screams and everyone runs in.

"Is someone dying?!" Mom asks, looking panicked.

"Your daughter might be, she's literally fangirling over my life," I say, rolling my eyes playfully.

"Ooh, what's going on?"

"NOTHING MOTHER!" I shove her out and shut the back room door, "You keep this a secret," I point at Raven and she holds her hands up and nods.

"I promise."

--2 Hours Later--

"So how're you doing without me?" Michael asks through the phone.

"Me?" I scoff, "What about you? You're so dependent!" I laugh.

"Me? Oh I'm dying! I need you and your beautiful body and your beautiful personality and beautiful voice. I just need you here. Plus I'm horny like all the time," he says and I burst into laughter.

"Michael! We've been dating for 3 days!" I say, between breaths.

"But we've known each other for like a week!" he defends.

"That means nothing," I laugh.

"But, I feel like I've known you forever," he sighs, "Have you checked your guitar case?"

"No, I'm just messing with you. I'm so tempted to though. I need to see you again," I can hear the desperation in his voice.

"Relax, the tour is only 6 months," I say, pulling my knees to my chest.

"That's too long," he whines and I laugh slightly, an empty feeling in my chest, "You okay?" I hadn't realized I wasn't talking.

"Oh, yeah, I'm fine," I say, feeling randomly sad.

"Don't lie to me, McKynzi," he says, soft yet stern.

"I don't know... I guess it just hit me that you're gone and I... I miss you, Michael," I sigh, my hand on my forehead.

"Aw, I miss you too. I feel empty without you," he says and just his voice warms my heart.

"I feel like there's a hole in my chest without you, Michael," I sniffle, wiping my now wet eyes.

"Hey, I'll see you soon, I promise. I'm not touring for a long time, I'll come to you if you want, the boys and I'll come and rehearse on the road," he says.

"Michael, I don't want you doing that. That's too much to ask of you and the guys," I say, sighing slightly.

"No it's not too much for me. I'm going to come. Just me; the guys and I will work it out. What's so funny?"

"You said come," I laugh, trying to control my inner 15 year old.

"Yeah, I know, I was trying to be serious," he chuckles, "But, I'll be there tonight, I promise, I won't let you feel lonely," he says.

"Hey, Mikey?"

"Yeah, baby girl?"

"Bring your guitar."

"Will do, baby."
