38. Kilo Chapter 38

Kate and jack lay down on top of the king sized bed and slept until they could hear other boarders coming down for their meal.
They got up and Kate straightened the bed before they came down stairs and took their seats in the dining room with the other guests.
The potions were again huge and Kate had to give Jack half of her meal knowing Jack would eat it all.
Everyone was talking about a live entertainment show being held at the play house so jack asked Katie if she would like to go. It starts at eight thirty so we better hurry if we are to get there.
Jack and Kate changed into their evening dress and Kate fixed her make up. Jack fixed his tie and asked Katie if she wanted to go to the tower or the theatre?
“Who‘s on where?
“Well we have Josef Lock and Nat Jackley on at the tower. At the theatre we have comedian Roy Barber, Johnny Ray, and Vera Lynn.
“I think we will go to see Johnny Ray all the girls talk about him.”
We could always go tomorrow to the tower Jack if you like.
“No it’s alright pet; any where you like is good with me.
“Should we take the car?
“I think we had better to beat the rush don’t you.”
They put on their coats then headed out to the car park.
Jack opened the door for his wife then closed the door before getting into the drivers side. Hang onto your hat Jack said as he pulled away from the kerb.
They drove straight to the theatre parked up and purchased their tickets they were very lucky as the seats they had bought had a good view of the stage.
Roy Barber came on first telling a variety of jokes and songs then Johnny Ray who sang “Walking My Way Back Home and Cry” there was an interval so Jack went to get Kate a drink of Lemonade Jack bought a shandy for himself.
Roy Barber came on again and did another thirty minute spot before Vera Lynn who was top of the bill came on and sang her famous rendition of “We’ll Meet Again”
It had been a splendid evening both jack and Kate had really enjoyed them selves.
When they drove home they both were singing the songs of Johnny Ray.
It was a little after twelve o’clock when they got back. They quickly undressed and made love again before falling asleep.
