With their new found powers they run away from home to live out their dreams together. However, will the power go to their head, or can they control it and live together happily as friends? Follow as Andrew tells the tale from his perspective, a tale of friendship and loyalty, lust and love, and power and triumph.

10. Cruise Ship Runner

I sat in the empty buffet watching a movie on the giant movie screen in the center of the room. Kyle turned on the generator so we could freeze and cook food, on top of the water pump so we can use the restroom casually. The ship kept sailing due to the fact that the two of them can keep the thought of it moving in the back of their mind, they were understanding their powers more. I settled in a Suite at the aft ship overlooking the sea with a wide view, Drake and Kyle took each of the Honeymoon suites equipped with a kitchen, living room and two bedrooms. The life was sweet, no rules, responsibilities and being able to roam free.

It was three in the morning and I couldn't sleep. I was up watching the satellite shows provided by the liner when close to the states when I decided I needed a drink. I found my way to the bar where I poured myself some vodka on the rocks. I sipped the strong drink while admiring the view of the night sky unaffected by any city lights. I set down the empty glass in the sink when I was halted by rustling in the kitchen. I stood for a couple of seconds to see if what I heard was real, rustling again. I tiptoed to the swinging door and peaked in the window. The lights were on but nothing seemed out of place. I opened it and grabbed a knife from the block and cautiously inspected every inch. The rustling came agin now from the walk in pantry. I slid next to the door and took in a couple of breaths before jumping around the corner pointing the knife into the room.

"Come out with your hands up slowly now!"

I opened my eyes to see a tall skinny girl in a corner standing with a box of crackers in her hands. She dropped the box chewing the food in her mouth and raised her hands. She had beautiful sapphire blue eyes that adorned her freckle infested face. Her skin fare white and hair jet black. She wore a jacket that was pulled down off her shoulders showing the tank top underneath and ripped black jeans that looked like they were painted on.

"I'm sorry I was hungry, I didn't mean to scare you. I can put them back if you want!" she said in a delicate hushed voice reaching for the box.

I stood for a moment stunned by the fact that there was a girl who sowed away on the ship with us.

"No, no. No need to, I- I'm sorry."

I reached down and grabbed the box for her placing it on the shelf.

"Uh, I'm Andrew. You are?"

"Oh, I'm Abbadon, call me Abby!"

"Nice to meet you, could I grab you a drink?"

"Yeah I'd like that"

Abby and I sat on the sofa that faced the panoramic window in my luxury suite sipping on some Gin and Tonic, the only drink I can make besides straight alcohol.

"So you and your two friends just sailed this out of Port Wheaten?" Abby questioned in a giggling astonishment.

"Yeah, it was probably the coolest thing I've done, but may I ask how and why you're on here" I inquired after giggling with her for a bit.

She quiet down a bit and looked at her drink, "Well to be honest, the loading crew doesn't check the food crates before loading. I stuffed myself in a meat box and was rolled on here."

"But why are you here?" I leaned forward

She took a deep breath in, "I ran away from home if you need to know." A deep breath again and a swig of her drink, "I don't fit in, never did. Not at school or home, so I packed up and ran. Took to the streets and saw that the Queen Anne was in town so I decided I could take to the seven seas." She set the cup down staring at her hands now.

I scooted over to her throwing my arm around her, "Hey, you can stay here with me!" I stood her up and walked her to the second bedroom in my suite. I gestured to the bed, "You can sleep here for the night, and in the morning I'll help you find your own room."

"Thank you." she said and I turned to my own room. Before the door closed though I saw her wrist, scarred lines crossed it in an uneven pattern, she has had it rough.

Drake and Kyle sat at a table together laughing at a raunchy comedy they projected on the movie screen. I walked in followed closely by Abby who hid behind me like a frightened child at the zoo. I motioned for her to wait and approached my friends.

"Drake, Kyle," they turned to me

"Sup?" Drake asked

"I'd like to introduce you to our stowaway," I stepped aside and motioned to the entryway, "Abby meet Drake and Kyle, Drake and Kyle, Abby!"

Drake jumped out of his seat and Kyle slowly rose. They looked to me one in astonishment one in anger.

"Meeting now!" Drake paused the movie and dragged us into the buffet kitchen.
