Doctor's Eleven

A mysterious person has set up the first eleven Doctors to pull off an impossible heist: a Dalek fortress.

8. The Third Doctor

The bullet pummeled into the wall.

"Everyone out of the TARDIS and on the floor!" said someone who wasn't visible.

The other ten Doctors filed out of the TARDIS with their hands up, kneeling on the ground.

The Someone-Who-Wasn't-Visible stepped out from the shadows. It was the Master. He reached into the shadows and threw someone in front of him.

The someone stood up. He looked old.

The Master smiled. "Why don't you tell them who you are."

The old sighed. "I am..." he sounded very Scottish. "I am the thirteenth body of the Doctor."

The Master laughed. "Precisely! Whoever has the data, bring it forward."

One stood up. "No."

The Master aimed his gun. "Will this change your mind?"

One didn't blink. "You can't kill me. If I die, none of these men will exist, the heist will not happen, and you'll not have the data either way."

The Master pointed his gun at Eleven. "He's the one farthest in the future. If he dies, the other ten will stay alive."

One tutted. "I'm afraid not. We could not have stolen the data if Eleven hadn't hacked the camera system and told us where the data was. All of us made the heist happen. If one of us die, the data will not come into your possession. There is no timeline, no paradox, no alternate universe, where you obtain the data. You will not get it. I will not give it to you. I am running out of things to say, Twelve. Now!"

Twelve wrestled the Master to the ground. He grabbed the gun and fired at the blacked-out window, which revealed the room was in space. (The Doctors will never know this, but it is the first lightspeed ship, stolen from a museum by the Master and remodeled.

The Master flew out into space. Twelve was beginning to lose his grip on the window's edge, his feet dangling in the void. He pulled himself in just as the emergency energy shield powered up.
