A Universe Trapped in a Labyrinth

This is my boring and interesting and teenager life spanning from age 15 to 18 (May 2015-August 2018)
Within you'll find many re-inventions of myself, boy trouble, school trouble and life trouble. (Plus interesting bits I thought I would include as well).
Do you dare to enter the maze?

96. Still about 2015, somewhat, and turbulent embarrassment.

3rd January 2016

It’s weird writing that date because it doesn’t feel like 2016. I’ll probably write 2015 for the next couple of weeks before I can get my head around it.

Anyway, this is the first entry of this year and I can feel slightly proud of that. I’ve survived and wrote this long which is a vast achievement.

I suppose that over the last through days some people would have rushed to the gym or the likes of that to start their resolutions.

How are my resolutions going?

They were to procrastinate less, run more, be more money efficient, and actually try to learn Spanish. So far, I have only achieved the first one. That is because I have actually found out the best time for me to work – 5pm up to about 8pm – which is about three hours to catch up on the things I need to do. If that isn’t enough time I will factor an hour or so at 2pm after lunch. Although, it’s less of the case that I do it for the hell of it and more out of necessity sometimes. I do back to school tomorrow – ugh – so it kind of has to be done.

I’ve been planning a lot about what I have to do to maintain these goals:

I need to keep planning my days to make sure I get stuff done, while taking breaks so that I don’t short circuit. I need to plan a day a week in which I will run. The first time I go jogging I’ll see how far I can get before feeling ready to cough up a lung and the times after that testing how far I can get in a period of time. Hopefully as time progresses I’ll get better with that.  I need to utilize the resources that I have for Spanish such as homework’s, Memrise – a program of vocabulary workouts if you will – and podcasts. This will make me get better at it someday down the line. I need to start thinking about what I can do to save money, or how I can spent it in the future so that I put a bit away each time. Somewhere down there I need to stop buying so many books and read the bookshelf contents that I have.

My New Year’s was rather quiet with just myself staying up to see the New Year in. When the clock struck twelve I texted my friends and whatnot until I had a mishap. I’m a contact hoarder so I’ve got numbers from friends off years ago, I texted one of them and the responder had no idea who I was. I was chatting with them until I noticed they had no clue and I had to explain to them. It was awkward to say the least. Now the incident just goes round and around in my head in an embarrassing turbulence. God.

I hope all of you had a good one too, hopefully not getting too drunk like some of my friends did and waking up awful the next morning.

I’ll see what this year brings for all of us!
