A Universe Trapped in a Labyrinth

This is my boring and interesting and teenager life spanning from age 15 to 18 (May 2015-August 2018)
Within you'll find many re-inventions of myself, boy trouble, school trouble and life trouble. (Plus interesting bits I thought I would include as well).
Do you dare to enter the maze?

125. Saying goodbye to a fast gone year

31st December 2016

This year has certainly gone faster than I ever thought it would and just this time last year I was panicking about GCSE's and the probabilities for the future. This time I'm panicking about A-levels and next years Uni applications!

2016 in review

Got braces and hope that the massive gap in my front teeth will be cured for good. I do have to have them on for another two years but I will get there. The pain is so worth it.

- Went to my first ever gig and stayed out late with friends. I may not have been able to hear properly for a couple of hours but it was worth the giggles and the experience.

- Worked really hard on studying and then achieving four A*s, four As and two Bs. I even got an A in my worst subject, computer science, which was seriously the bane of my existence and one which I panicked the most about.

- Had a bloody good time at prom and said goodbye to some really good friends. I danced my feet off and with two boys who even asked me to prom, and who I had to decline on a vow to go with friends.

- I gained new ones in the form of college friends and actually went to lunch with them, and had a whale of a time.

- Turned another year older, seventeen to be exact.

- Completed my second year of Nanowrimo with my highest word count ever of 65,000 words.

- Wore makeup, and started to experiment with it, for the first time ever.

This years resolutions

Last years resolutions were as follows:

My resolutions for 2016

-  Procrastinate less! PASSED! I studied more and put down internet in favour of textbooks and other important things.

-  Take up running again! PASSED! I did this two, running 10+ times this year, even on Christmas Eve no less and whereas where I couldn't run for even a minute last year and now I can run for six minutes straight. I would say that that is an achievement.

-  Be more money efficient/ save up money more! PASSED! I didn't sell things but I did save money. I still had half of my birthday money by December which I would call that a pat on the back.

- Commit to learning a language. PASSED! I got a B in Spanish which was my goal and I spent months leading up to my tests glued to vocabulary websites. I haven't picked it up since, but I have done what I set out to do.

This is the first year that I achieved every one of my resolutions and for that I am really proud of my self.

This year resolutions are as followed:

- Experiment with makeup some more - stretch my creative spirit in that field.

- Get a job - because the money is worth it but don't let it impede on my time for studying.

- Cope with A-levels and hopefully aim to achieve an AAA or an AAB in my subjects, after I drop one.

Everyone, whether it's already January where you are, or you're still waiting for it, have a Happy New Year. Hopefully 2017 will be a good one for us all.
