A Universe Trapped in a Labyrinth

This is my boring and interesting and teenager life spanning from age 15 to 18 (May 2015-August 2018)
Within you'll find many re-inventions of myself, boy trouble, school trouble and life trouble. (Plus interesting bits I thought I would include as well).
Do you dare to enter the maze?

99. Running, running, running.

Saturday 23rd January, 2016

Today I withheld one of my resolutions for the first time ever in a while – I went running.

That was a shock for me if I must admit even if I must have only ran for a short time and walked the rest.

Can you tell how out of shape I am?

I felt like I was going to cough up a lung after about five minutes.

Nevertheless, I went out with a bottle of water and my Ipod in tow because music always helps regardless of the situation. For some moments I was conscious of people seeing me jogging around the street because hey I looked a mess. But then I was thinking that running isn't meant to be a beauty sport and that if they didn't like it they shouldn't keep looking anyway. And on the plus side I'm not the worst thing they've seen in my area, after running I saw several girls still in their pyjamas at one o'clock in the afternoon.

But I’ve done it and that matters because that swinging medal from the Race for Life 2013 inspired me to do another 5k charity run this year. Yeah, I better get training if I’m going to do it.

My goal is to run every week in order to get my body used to the exercise again. If I do it is another thing entirely. I guess motivation from peers and family is key to keep going, as well as that medal hanging on my mirror from three years ago.

My parents were shocked that I actually went out for a jog, which says something about how I spend my free time. I’m doing it not to lose weight or to gain muscles or whatever, I’m doing it to get fit and healthy. Because lord I think I need it.

Update: It is now Sunday and least to say I hurt; however, pain is sign of something I guess. I'm just going to be a blanket burrito today and roll around like walrus.
