A Universe Trapped in a Labyrinth

This is my boring and interesting and teenager life spanning from age 15 to 18 (May 2015-August 2018)
Within you'll find many re-inventions of myself, boy trouble, school trouble and life trouble. (Plus interesting bits I thought I would include as well).
Do you dare to enter the maze?

156. Partying :)

Last night I attended an 18th birthday party that involved dressing a bit fancier than what I normally would have. I didn't wear heels, which was probably a good thing as I wanted to dance without crippling my feet, but because of that I felt a lot shorter than everyone else. At first we met at a friends house for pre-drinks and then we got a taxi to the venue the birthday girl had booked out. Although arriving twenty minutes late we were the first people there. We stayed there until about 11, watching as more people filtered in, bopping to music and saving our money because the drinks were expensive.

Then I did something I haven't done before and that was go out partying in the town. We got a taxi and the birthday girl had booked tables so although I came in with a hand full of stamps I was on a high. We spent the night drinking and dancing, coaching someone to tell my name over my friend (Kayleigh). At one point I had to help the birthday girl to the toilet, which meant going through the dance floor, up some stairs and then holding the door for her because the doors didn't lock. The drinks were cheaper here - two vodka's for a fiver - so they flowed plenty.

The club experience is mainly just singing, dancing among flashing lights and sticky floors. People surround you everywhere, there's people carrying shots all through the night and the music beats saturate through your skin. I would say I had a good time.

We danced a lot and then the club closed at three in the morning. The birthday girl wanted to go home and my friends wanted to stay but I got a taxi with the birthday girl to make sure she was alright. She was plastered, having to take her heels off and be half carried to the taxi. I'm glad I went with her, even though I told I was loved many, many times.

Would I go back again? Definitely. All this has done is enlightened me and halfway prepared me for my uni days, where I'll be in those clubs more often than not.
