A Universe Trapped in a Labyrinth

This is my boring and interesting and teenager life spanning from age 15 to 18 (May 2015-August 2018)
Within you'll find many re-inventions of myself, boy trouble, school trouble and life trouble. (Plus interesting bits I thought I would include as well).
Do you dare to enter the maze?

30. #Kindnessday

Date: Friday 12th June 2015

Entry: 32/?

Subject: #Kindnessday

Tip/advice: #? Be kind.

Being kind is almost a lesson in life; however, despite this fact, which is drilled in our heads since we were small, kindness doesn’t always stick. People are the real demons in this world not the ones in Hell or otherwise. In life we need to be kind because being spiteful and hateful doesn’t achieve much when it comes down to it.

On the other hand I felt quite poetic today so today’s entry is centred on a poem about kindness to celebrate Kindnessday.

I dare you.

Define an infection; go on I dare you.

By now you’ll have thought of a monster spreading in our veins,

But smiling is infectious; we catch it like the good ol’ flu.

When someone smiled at me today, I started smiling too,

I passed it on to another and we started the chain

Its mesmerizing how quick a smile can travel and the happiness grew.

I dare you to think of what could be greater than to realise this?
That kindness is the way to gain everything and all knowing
That kindness is the only thing that you can’t ever miss.

That kindness is planted in the soil of another with a need...

That kindness will grow into a tree of bliss
And one day the blossom will blow back to you.

Every drop of kindness that you give away and reminisce
Returns to you to bless your life one day.

Kindness speaks the words your heart will mostly dismiss.
Its wings hold us up and give us strength when we are weak.

Its warm protection keeps from falling into the abyss
Kindness opens up the doors and shows us where to start.

I dare you to turn away from kindness and lie about this.

I dare you to not send a smile to someone with their head bowed.

I dare you not to be kind to someone you may have never met.

I dare you; triple dog dare you.

Kindness Day is inspired by the novel Wonder by R J Palacio, which is a story about kindness, acceptance and friendship. Today’s purpose is to share as much kindness to bully victims and to people in general in our ordinary lives.

My kindness today has included; holding doors open to many people including a kid that was rushing forward and crying, taking said kid to a teacher to discuss what ever made them sad, complementing people on their choices and encouraging people on their goals and just mundane actions of life.

The message of this day is to be kind and to encourage people to stop bullying and treat people the way in which you would appreciate being treated yourself. If you worry about not being kind enough to someone just remember that it is the little things that really matter – sometimes a smile can go a long way.
