A Universe Trapped in a Labyrinth

This is my boring and interesting and teenager life spanning from age 15 to 18 (May 2015-August 2018)
Within you'll find many re-inventions of myself, boy trouble, school trouble and life trouble. (Plus interesting bits I thought I would include as well).
Do you dare to enter the maze?

33. Hell on educated Earth

Subject: Hell on educated Earth

Once there was a girl who was cursed to an unspeakable event. That event was cross country.

The track blurred below the girl and she felt a surge of adrenaline. The steady thump of her footsteps echoed in her ears and she felt a bead of sweat roll down her forehead, concealed by a curtain of stringy hair. The only things stopping her from victory was her physical limits and her competition. Her heart thudded a death mark in her throat and her breath was labored.

There was encouragements from the teachers at various points but what help is it from statues with a whistle and some sort of precious liquid in their hands? What is help when the people around you mimic raging bulls with an over population of completeness and an inability to lose are against you?

Cross country, running, anything that resembles like that for fun is torture; hell on an educated Earth.

But like a good ol’ Texan proverb says – when you throw dirt you lose ground.

You cannot be like a petulant child because fussing also means losing in miniscule amounts.
