Pokemon Masters

1. Anna Celestial

“Anna!!” My bedroom door slammed open. I opened my eyes immediately. I stretched out my arms and got out of bed. “You know today is the start of your journey as a trainer.”

“I know, I know. Why can’t it be later today? Everyone knows I’m not a morning person.” I placed my glasses on the bridge of my nose.

“Baby. You know I wish you could stay longer. But it’s time for you to grow up. You aren’t my baby anymore.” She started to tear up and ran off.

“Mom…” I smiled slightly. She never was the same when dad died. I guess it’s going to be quite lonely without me around here. But I’m 10 years old and it’s time for me to start my journey. I want to be a Pokémon master. Nothing’s going to stop me. I packed my bags and changed my clothes.

I patted all my stuff in my room for the last time. “I’m off.” I walked through the halls until I reached to the door. My mom hugged me from behind. She still was sobbing, but lightly this time.

“I’m going to miss you, Anna.” She kissed my forehead. I slowly turned around and stared up at her.

“I’m going to miss you too, Mom.” She hugged me one last time and opened the door. I stared at her quickly, seeing it for the last time. And I walked out heading straight for the professor’s house.

“I wonder what Pokémon I’m going to get.” I thought to myself. Maybe I’ll get a Piplup, or a Chimchar, or maybe a Turtwig. Ah. All these types makes me wonder. I can get any which one.

“I can’t wait to meet other trainers. I might even meet Ash Ketchum!” I squealed as I walked onto the Professor’s front lawn. Spearows swarmed the skies. I hope they don’t attack.

I inhaled deeply and opened the door.

. . .

"Ready to let her out?" Professor Oak nodded as he handed me my very first pokemon.

"Yes!" I pecked the pokeball and threw it out toward the white fence of Professor Oak's backyard.

"Turtwig!" Turtwig squealed as she appeared on the grass.

"Yay!" I hugged Turtwig when she jumped into my arms.

"Now, you have to remember that there are dangers outside of Palet town. You might want to watch who you encounter, they just might want to steal your pokemon." He smirked. I laughed when I realized he was referencing to Team Rocket.

"Okay, I'm ready. I can do this."

"Here, you can have six pokeballs on you at once. The others will come to me, and I'll take care of them. Good luck, Anna!" He waved as I rushed off to the forest.

"My journey begins now!" I scream and Turtwig cries.
