It's Today?! - The Story of My Life

Who knows maybe with the incentive, I may keep this diary, and not just as a collections of rants, and updates ever time I get ill. I mean seriously, two entries in three years? Both saying "I'm sick"?

Exams, exams, exams…. What are we to do about them? Other than crack down and do them, of course! It’s been gorgeous weather today, and I have not been about to enjoy it due to revision… Fun! I had the morning to myself, so I thought I’d have the chance to really crack down, but instead I had three separate visitors. It was nice to see them, but stressful as well.

I did manage to get some time to draw yesterday though! I did an entry for the #WhatMakesYouHappy competition, so I took about three hours out of revision. I’m going to be paying for it with lack of sleep however.

I had a strange realisation moment today. Several of my friends are turning eighteen in the next month or too, and it’s a really strange feeling. I mean, these guys will be able to legally go see any film at the cinema, and buy alcohol. They’re all supposed to be mature adults now, and I’m still going to be a kid for the next seven months. It’s a really weird feeling. My friends, people I’ve known since the age of four are full grown adults. It’s making me realise I am in no way prepared for the real world and all the expectations pushed upon you. I remember feeling the same before I turned sixteen, absolutely terrified, but it’s worse now. Sixteen was just a test run. I guess the only way to get through it is to stop worrying, that solves nothing.

I’ve been really itching to get my guitar out. The piano is stuck behind a whole load of boxes because Mum has started packing already. We’re moving in July, and she’s a bit eager. She’s really missing my Dad, who’s been living across the country since January training for his new job. She’s feeling it particularly bad now, because we could be living there now if it weren’t for college courses and lessons. She's almost angry about it. She gets to spend this weekend with him however, so she'll enjoy that.
