It's Today?! - The Story of My Life

Who knows maybe with the incentive, I may keep this diary, and not just as a collections of rants, and updates ever time I get ill. I mean seriously, two entries in three years? Both saying "I'm sick"?

16. Swords and Songs 5-6-15

I did sword at Bushido yesterday. I absolutely love the weapons work we do, and sword is probably my favourite. I mean, I am literally learning how to use a katana, and all the disciplines and honours and traditions that go with it. What can really beat that? My arms are a tad sore right now though. They were bruised after fencing on Monday night, thanks to a certain left hander!

Now left-handers, I get it, everyday is harder. If you're a guy, buttons are on the wrong side (although women can cope so deal with it), and scissors and writing is a pain, but I recommend you try fencing because you will really throw everyone else there. You're common enough to have the equipment, but rare enough to still catch people unaware. Especially if they're like me and totally oblivious. I once won a fight against a girl, but for the level she was, I was really surprised why I was struggling. Wasn't until I shook her hand at the end that I realise she was left handed.

I wrote a song today, tune and all. It's the first time I've ever written anything, set it to music and actually been happy with it enough to keep it, or show anyone. I'll record it and I think I'll enter it into the Poetry Contest. It's based of Flower's for Algernon by Daniel Keyes which I think has to be one of my favourite books. I love deep books, and that';s certainly one! Not to say it's brilliantly written, highly enjoyable and thought provoking.

The lyrics to my song are already posted for those of you interested. Called Flowers for Algernon funnily enough. I was so imaginative with that one.

I did a bit more work on the blog post I'm doing for the next feature week, it's not finished but I have the idea all set out, a large percentage of the work research done, and the banner made! Exciting times!

Oh! I've got a secret I really want to share here, but I'm worried the person I'm keeping it from might read it, which to be honest is highly unlikely, but they sometimes like to so it's better to be safe than sorry and I don't want to ruin the surprise. Oh I'm so excited though!

I need some sleep, so I'm logging off for the night. I've made plans to catch up with game of thrones, so I'm going to do some of that on Monday. It's gonna be great fun!

Oh look! 00:00. So neat. Well, if I  want to get up tomorrow, I think it's bedtime.

Goodnight, sleep tight, don't let the bed bugs bite.

... what does sleep tight even mean? It must have something to do with some old fashioned tradition or something. Or maybe they're talking about the sheets? And you wrapped babies up tightly in the days gone by... Hmm, so many theories, so little brain capacity.
