Luke Hemmings. What more is there to say about a childhood best friend who forgot you?

4. Chapter Four

Alexis' POV

I decided to let the whole Luke thing go. It didn't seem like Mia was that bothered by it anyways, thank god. There was no way of telling for sure if she had completely dropped it, but for the time being I knew she wasn't that concerned. We had better things to do, like shop!

The first store we went into was pretty cool. It had all of these different band t-shirts in it, and even though I knew nothing about most of them. Mia, on the other hand, seemed more at ease. The store was more up her alley, and even though she acts really girly for the most part, I know that she loves listening to rock bands, like Blink-random-number-I-think. I don't exactly know the names...

Mia's POV

I ran up and grabbed this really awesome Blink 182 shirt off of the rack. Even though I will probably never wear it to school, it will still be good to have just to lounge around in. My love of rock bands is one of the only things most people don't know about me. I'm known to be more into flowers and sunshine at my school, and only my friends know my "secret."

I quickly paid for it, and then moved to the next store, since none of my other friends were really into bands. The only one who even remotely showed interest was Tiffany, which I assumed she was doing just to be nice.

Then I looked over at Layla, the fashion queen, touching the clothing like it was some kind of poison. She gave me a desperate look.

"Ok, ok," I said to her jokingly, pulling her out of the store.

As we walked out, I bumped someone's shoulder.

"Oh, um, sorry..." I mumbled, not looking at their face.

"Uh, yeah it's fine." A deep, husky voice replied. Then we walked out.

I went right next Alexis to ask her a question, without realizing that her face was milk white.

Something was up, but what?

Alexis' POV

As we were walking out of the store, I noticed a familiar face coming in.

"Omigosh, omigosh," I said under my breath

It was Luke.

I knew this was going to happen.

Then, as if my situation couldn't get much worse, he ended up bumping into Mia. Thank god that the lights in that store were dim because if not, something bad could have happened.

They quickly apologized to each other and we walked out.

Then Mia came next to me and started asking me questions about the latest gossip on social media, which I couldn't focus on, since I was too busy thinking about how lucky I had just gotten.

She eyed me suspiciously once I didn't respond, but I just nodded quickly and her eyes went back to where she had been looking before.

I sure hope she can't see through me.

I knew she could though. After all, she is my best friend.
