94. Fatal Love

Fatal Love sneak peek!!

Out now

We stood in front of a stadium full of people. Wembly stadium. The boys and I made it, we made it to the point of selling out Wembly stadium. Our fans that have gradually increased over the years, screamed and shouted back at us. A huge smile spread across my face. I looked at my band mates. We both shared the same thought, we made it.

I stepped up to my microphone stand. The spotlight shinned on me. The crowd cheered as some held up signs  and posters that said, 'Calum, I like your b(ass)' 'Michael, praying isn't the only thing I do on my knees' 'I traveled 200 miles to get here' "We'll always be here for you' 'We're so proud of you!' I smiled widely.

"It took us a few years," I started. "But holy shit, we made it. Thank you guys, because without you, we'd be nowhere."

The fans screamed and hollered and I heard a few say they loved me, they love us.

"I agree with Calum on this," Ashton added from behind his drum kit . "We love you all and we cannot thank you enough for everything you've done for us."

"We belong with you guys and we hope you feel at home amongst you all," Luke said.

"You're never alone and you never will be. Look around you, you have all these people who love you! We love you," Michael finished. "Now Calum, what's the next song?"

"This next song is called Disconnected," I laughed when everyone in the stadium screamed and practically went wild. "And I would like to dedicate it to my beautiful girlfriend." The crowd went even wilder

I finished he last note for Disconnected as phone LED lights slowly started disappearing. This is the moment. My heartbeat quickened as I made eye contact with Luke, he knew what was going to happen next. I had planned this out for a couple months.

"I think Calum has something to say," Michael said into the mic.

"Oh, I want to hear this," Ashton added.

"As you all know, my girlfriend and her band are touring with us," I said. Everyone cheered. Helen and I have been dating for roughly four years now. At first the fans hated her and she received much hate. Once fans started bumping into us and Helen was super sweet as she always was, people started spreading the word and she was soon admired by a majority of the fam. They liked her just like they liked Bryana, Ashton's girlfriend. They shipped us hard and got sad when rumor breakups (that were false) surfaced social media.

We made it through long tours and long period of time being apart from each other. Until I couldn't stand it and told her and her band to join us on tour. We had signed them to Hi Or Hey records. 5 Seconds of Summer and Necrotic Midnight.

"Let's bring out here, Necrotic Midnight," Luke said.

Adin, Matty, Aero and Helen all walked out from behind the stage. Everyone screamed when they all waved awkwardly. Helen fiddled with her fingers when she caught my eye and smiled. Her black hair was tied up in a ponytail. She wore a 5sos shirt and black shorts.

Everyone knew what I was going to do, everyone but Helen and the fans of  course.

"Helen, can you come here real quick," I said into the mic. The crowd went wild, some said a few aww's. Helen looked at me sligthly confused.

"Go on, little sister," Luke encouraged.

Helen started walking towards me. I set my bass down on the stage floor and took the mic off the stand as I met her in the middle. The cameraman was recording the whole thing as he filmed various angels. I stood in front of her. I briefly got lost in those blue eyes that always seemed to captivate me, no matter how much I've seen them

I took her hand in mine. The crowd roared. I held the mic up to me.

"Helen," I began.

"Calum," She said looking up at me.

"Helen Hemmings," I said. "I love you, with all my heart I love you so much." I blocked out the rest of the world. Right now, it was just the two of us. "You are my rock and you're always there for me, through thick and thin. We've been through so much and you were always there. I appreciate everything you've done and I love you so, so much."

She smiled at me.

"I get lost within you and you're just an amazing person, inside and out." I paused. "I remember a few years ago, I told you I was scared of commitment and you told me that as well, but I've come to a conclusion, that commitment isn't so bad, as long as I am with you." I smiled as I pulled out the black velvet box and got down on one knee. I opened the box.

"Oh my god, oh my god," Helen repeated.

The crowd went absolutely insane and cheered wildly. Helen held one hand to her mouth as her eyes widened. Her blue eyes welled with tears as she tried to blink them away but when she looked back down at me, she couldn't hold them back as they slowly fell.

"Helen, love, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Forever seems possible with you, everything seems possible with you. So what do you say, queen? Will you marry me?" I asked. My heart beat quickened as I finally asked her the question.

She paused and wiped her face, she looked at me and smiled again. She nodded, "Yes, yes a million times yes!" Everyone hollared, my band and her band both cheered with excitement.

I sighed in relief as I took the ring out and slipped it on her ring finger of her left hand. I set the microphone down before I crushed her into a hug. My lips found hers as we both got lost in each other's arms. In each other's presence.

"Helen Hood," I whispered in her ear and smiled, "I like the sound of that."
