89. Chapter 89 : Boyfriend Vs. Brother

Helen's POV

"Wonder what they called us over for?" Calum asked as he got out of the car. He ran over the side but I opened my own door before he could get to me. He frowned, "That's my job."

I smiled, "You're such a gentleman Calum."

"That's what I do, baby."

Calum and I walked up to the house and I knocked on the door. We both carried a puppy with us. Calum carried Chewie and I carried Aslan. Calum insisted we named one Luke and another Skywalker, but I decided against it.

"I don't think Luke would appreciate being named after a dog," I had said.

"We're talking about Luke Hemmings, this is Luke Skywalker!" Calum replied.

I finally agreed to call one Chewie, after Chewbacca. He seemed satisfied.

"Are you ready to meet your uncles, Chewie?" Calum asked the pup who he cradled in one arm.

The door swung open, "The couple is finally here!" He exclaimed as he stepped away from the door. He wore a black glitter blazer and a gold tie.

"Michael, what?" Calum said.

"And you brought the newborns as well, good! Come in, come in!" He added.

We reluctantly stepped inside.

"They're so cute!" Luke exclaimed and took Aslan from my arms before giving him eskimo kisses.

"Great Luke, you spoiled the scenario," Michael muttered as he closed the door.

"What's going on here?" I asked.

"We decided to hold a little competition," Ashton appeared from the living room. "To see who knows you," He pointed to me, "Better. Is it boyfriend or brother?"

I looked between the two of them. Michael took Chewie from Calum's arms and made kissy faces to the pup. I laughed slightly.

"So are you game?" Ashton asked Calum.

He looked at me and nodded, "Why not?"

"I am so gonna win," Luke said.

"In your dreams," Calum chuckled.

"Let the games begin!" Michael shouted.

Calum and Luke stood at podiums on opposite ends of each other. Michael held a stack of cards and Ashton was keeping the score. I stood next to Ashton.

"Question number one," Michael said. "This is easy. What is her favorite color?"

Luke buzzed first, "Purple, red, and aqua."

"That is correct, Mr Hemmings! Two points for the brother and none for the boyfriend."

"What is her favorite band?"

Luke buzzed, "Twenty One Pilots."

"Close. That's her second favorite band. Mr Hood?"

"The 1975," Calum said.

"Correct! A tie."

Calum thrusted a fist in the air.

"What is her dream vacation?"

Calum buzzed first, "Athens, Greece."

"Correct! Calum is in the lead."

"What's her favorite movie?"

Luke buzzed, "Easy A."

"What? You never told me that!" Calum turned to me.

"I told you once!" I said.

"Once!" Calum added.

"Onto the next question." Michael broke into our conversation. "What's her favorite book series?"

No buzzers rang out this time.

"Fuck, I know this!" Calum insisted and racked his brain.

"You always talk about this author and he has a new series coming out," Luke thought.

"Oh!" Calum punched his buzzer. "That Percy Jackson series!"

"I told you I knew it!" Calum he exclaimed and looked at me. I smiled at him.

"What are two liquids Helen doesn't like and will never think of drinking?" Michael said.

Luke pressed his buzzer, "Coffee and soda."

"Yes! Onto the next question. Who was her first celebrity crush?"

Calum buzzed, "That one arrow guy."

"Incorrect! Luke?"

"Logan Lerman," He said.

"yes!" Michael added.

The game went on. Back and fourth the questions got harder and harder. Luke, knowing me much better than myself, was in the lead, but Calum somehow got neck to neck with Luke. It was now a tie. Only one question left.

"The tie-breaker," Michael said. "Drum roll please,"

Ashton quickly sat on his stool and gave a simple but intense drum roll.

"What is one thing she can't live without?"

Luke buzzed, "Music."

"Correct! And Luke wins! The brother is the winner!" Michael exclaims.

Luke cheers. Calum rests his head in between his hands.

"Don't have shame Cal," Michael pats his shoulder. I walk over to him and smile.

"I swear I had that last question," Calum said.

I nodded, "I'm sure you did, but it's just a game."

He smiled slightly, "I guess." He paused. "But I totally had that question! I just wasn't fast enough." He pouted.

"Excuses, excuses," Luke said.

"That's enough, Lucas," I cut in between their conversation.

"Oh, Chewie is so cute!" Michael exclaimed as he carried the small black pup in his arms.

"Where's Aslan?" I asked.

"I don't know, maybe Ashton has him," He replied.

I turned to Ash who was craddling Aslan in his arms, "Can I keep him?"

Before I could say something, Calum snatches Aslan from Ashton, "No! He's ours."

Ash held his hands up in surrender, "You win." He quickly pulled me aside.

"He just really likes those dogs," I said.

"I know, but are you feeling okay? You look a little, down, I guess you can say,"

"I just," I trailed off. I explained to him about Reyna and how we had to put her down. Ashton patted my hand lightly.

"It's okay, little one, you did everything you could do to help her. In the end you were an extreme help because thanks to you, she was able to die a painless death instead of dying with unimaginable pain," He said.

I nodded slightly, "Thanks Ash."

"Anytime," He smiled before pulling me into a hug.
