51. Chapter 51 : Tattoos and FML

Helen's POV

*2 weeks later*

I haven't spoken to Calum since our argument. And I was still grounded.

"Helen!" Dad called.

I bounded down the stairs, Billie Joe at my side. He followed me into the kitchen where Dad was leaning on the counter.

"Yea?" I asked.

"Look your Aunt Clara is coming to visit," He said.

I threw my head back and groaned. Aunt Clara is my aunt from North Carolina. She has two twins, Vanessa and Veronica who are even bitchier than Aunt Clara herself. Then you've got Jayla. She's the sweetest of the three and I honestly don't know how the hell she's Aunt Clara's daughter. She super nice compared to her sisters.

"I know Aunt Clara doesn't really like you," Dad said.

"Dad, Aunt Clara hates me!" I exclaimed.

That's not a lie. Last year when she came to visit, Brad came over and Vanessa and Veronica were both hitting on him. As for Aunt Clara she was trying to encourage Brad to date one of her twins. That's not it, there's more shit between me and Aunt Clara but I'm not about to name every single on of them. I'd be here all day.

"And while she's here, you'll be off grounding terms until she leaves or until further notice," he said.

Well that's an upside to this crappy situation.

"When will she be here?" I asked.

"She'll land at the airport on Saturday and leave two weeks later," he replied.

I exasperated.

"So be on your best behavior and I don't want any arguments between you and the twins, no matter what they call you. I don't want one of them with a black eye or a broken nose just because you couldn't control yourself. You know they're much weaker than you and you could easily take them down. Your mother told me about Rebecca," He gave me a stern look.

"She slapped Luke, then me! I wasn't about to let a little bitch disrespect me like that!" I exclaimed.

"Language!"

I took a deep breath and calmed myself down before nodding.

"Everything will be normal, except we'll have four other women in the house," Dad said.

Everything will be anything but normal.

I got a call from Adin.

"What's up?" He asked.

"Aunt Clara is coming to visit," I said.

"Okay, during that period of time, I do not know you, you don't know me, we are not aware of each other's existence and we do not talk."

Adin also doesn't really like Aunt Clara. Vanessa and Veronica both have a crush on Adin and he just doesn't like to be around them cause he feels uncomfortable.

"She'll be here on Saturday and she'll be here for two weeks," I said.

"Okay we have four days left of freedom," He said.

"Yup," I replied.

"Oh but I actually called you for something else."

"What's up?" I asked.

"How do you feel about getting a tattoo?"

I told Dad I was going to the gym, Adin picked me up and we were off to get our tattoos done. I personally already knew what I was going to get. Adin as well, he was going to get a tattoo on his rib cage, even though I told him that's where it would hurt the most due to the fact that it's only skin covering your ribs. Nonetheless, he said the pain would be worth it.

"What about matching tattoos?" He asked. "Dude! That's be awesome!"

I laughed, "Why not?"

"No wait, but what? I wasn't prepared for matching tattoos what should we get?" He asked.

"I don't know," I replied and began to fall into deep thought.

"So how are you and Calum?" He asked.

"Still haven't spoken to each other," I replied.

"Hmm," Was all that he replied with.

I nodded.

We reached the tattoo shop. Turns out Adin made this appointment weeks ago and he just assumed I'd say yes on going with him. And I did. I mean it's Adin, we've been friends as long as I can remember, if we'd get tattoos for the first time, we'd do it together.

We all go down together or we don't go down at all.

The shop had insane and awesome looking artwork hanging on every inch of the walls. The heavily tatted man behind the counter was reading a comic book.

"How can I help you?" He asked.

"We're here for an appointment with Tyler," Adin said.

"Who's going first?" He asked and motioned between the two of us.

"I am," Adin spoke up.

I looked at him and raised a brow, "So what tattoo are we gonna get?"

"A rectangle," He replied.

I immediately understood the meaning and nodded.

"Right this way," he said and led Adin away from me and towards another room.

The man came back shortly after.

"Your first time?"

"Sorry?" I asked.

"Your first tattoo?" He asked again.

"Oh, yea," I replied.

"You nervous?"

"A little. Does it hurt?"

"For me, not anymore after getting so many," he pointed to his sleeves. "But for the first, it's only a sharp pain."

I nodded and looked around the room I was in, "Did all of you guys draw these?" I asked.

"All of it is our original artwork, yes."

I had a pretty long conversation with the man. I found out his name was Thomas. He was cool. After about an hour of carrying on a conversation with Thomas about artwork and the craziest tattoos he's seen, Adin finally emerged from the room.

It was now my turn.

"How was it?" I asked.

"You're right, it did hurt the most in the rib cage," he groaned. He showed me his thumb where the black perfect rectangle was inked on his skin.

"I like it," I said.

Thomas led me to the room this time where Tyler, the tattoo artist was already waiting for me.

"Helen?"

I nodded.

We sat down as I discussed my idea for my own ink and where I wanted it. I watched him as he drew my tattoo on a piece of thin tracing paper.

Before I knew it Tyler was putting on some medical gloves and I had my arm extended out.

"Ready?" he asked.

"Yep," I replied as Tyler started the gun and contacted the tip with my skin.
