20. Chapter 16.

Christie was sleeping peacefully, was being the key word. She had pulled the blankets over her head and had her face buried into the mattress. Sam laid at her feet, his nose brushing against Christie's toes and Dean laid behind her, his head resting on her back, moving up and down with each breath Christie took. Peter had been sleeping all day and sat on the floor of the kitchen eating the block of cheese that Christie had laid out for him. Kevin laid on his stomach with his arm hanging over the side of the bed and a bit of drool coming from his mouth. Shane had decided to sleep beside the tv, on top of the small dresser that sat in front of the two beds. And Edith... was beginning to slither into Kevin's pants leg. The loud, high pitched shriek that escaped from Kevin's lips is what woke everyone.

Christie instantly sat up, her hair covering her face in a tangled mess. She quickly pushed it all aside and turned her head to see Kevin standing at the end of the bed, frantically trying to take off his pants. "What the f**k?!" Christie shouted, raising her arms into the air and giving Kevin a confused and annoyed look.

Kevin kicked his pants aside and Edith slowly slithered out of one of the pant legs. "What the f**k?!" Christie shouted again, this time directing her words down at Edith. She angrily pushed the blankets off of her and stood up. She walked over to Edith, who was attempting to slide under the bed, and grabbed her near her head.

"I was cold!" Edith cried, struggling to get out of Christie's grip. Christie pulled open the bathroom door and forcefully put Edith into the sink. "Well, you can freeze to death for all I care." Christie mumbled before walking out of the bathroom and slamming the door behind her.

"Put your pant's back on," Christie said walking past Kevin who awkwardly stood in his underwear in the middle of the room. Christie fell onto the bed and fumbled with the blankets until she was able to pull them over her face, sighing as she tried to get comfortable.

Kevin bent down and picked up his pajama pants, quickly slipping them back on and pushing his hair from his face. "What the hell just happened?" Dean mumbled sleepily from beside Christie. "I have no idea." Sam muttered back to him.

"Shut up!" Christie hissed through her teeth.

Kevin glanced up to the clock on the wall above the nightstand that stood between the two beds, 7:36. He decided he wouldn't try and fall back asleep because he knew that he wouldn't be able to. He ran his ringers though his hair and sighed deeply before stepping into the kitchen. He opened one of the cabinet and pulled out a small, blue bowl and filled it with cold water from the sink. He set the bowl on the floor beside Peter who sat by Kevin's feet, finishing off the last of the cheese that Christie had laid out.

"Thank you." Peter said looking up at Kevin before taking a few sips of the water.

"UGH!" Christie groaned from behind Kevin, causing him to jump slightly. He turned around to see Christie turning over onto her back and pushing her hair from her face. "I can't get comfortable." she said looking at Kevin.

"Want me to make breakfast?" Kevin asked gesturing to the refrigerator that stood beside him. "I think there is some bacon left, and a few eggs."

"Scrambled, please." Christie turning on her side. "Can you make toast too?"

"Thanks." Christie said to Kevin as he set a plate of food on the table in front of her. He mumbled back a soft "Youre welcome."

"You burnt the bacon." Christie commented picking up a piece as Kevin sat down across from her.

"I'm not a cooking wizard, Chris." Kevin said fumbling with the fork in his hand, "Sometimes bacon gets burnt, alright?"

Christie looked over Kevin for a moment as he moved the eggs on his plate around with the fork in his hand. "Are you okay?" She asked leaning forward slightly. "You seem a little... off."

"I'm fine." Kevin said avoiding eye contact by rubbing his hand through his hair. "You've been acting kinda weird since you talked with Cas yesterday." Christie continued.

"I said I'm fine." Kevin repeated looking up at Christie. Truthfully he was continuously going over what Castiel had said to him the day before. He swore at Cas for even telling him in the first place about him and Christie. He had no clue how to act around her now. He kept trying to put it out of his head and focus on the witch but every time he looked at Christie or she said something Castiel's words would come rushing back to his head. It's not like he could just ignore her, they're with each other practically 24/7 and they have to get rid of the witch together.

Christie could tell that there was something wrong or something that Kevin wasn't telling her. He was fine and acting like himself until he had talked with Castiel. She wanted to know what Cas had said to him but decided not to press Kevin into telling her. She leaned back in her seat and picked up the fork that sat beside the plate of bacon, eggs and toast in front of her. "I've been thinking about the witch." She said changing the subject. "Why she wasn't in that house."

"Yeah?" Kevin sitting up straighter and clearing his throat before taking a bite of his eggs and looking up at Christie.

"She knows we were following her. She saw us at both bars and she knows what the car looks like."

"So she ditched that van in the old crazy lady's yard." Kevin said finishing Christie's thought before taking another bite of his eggs.

"Exactly." Christie asked covering her mouth with her hand. "So we can't try and follow her again, she'll know we're onto her and turn you and I into frogs or something. But I realized something. She hasn't seen Cas, has she?" Kevin turned his head away and his eyebrows furrowed in thought. "I don't think so." he replied turning back to face Christie.

"So what if Cas followed her?" Christie suggested leaning forward against the table. "He can sit and blend in at the bar until she leaves and hen he can do his freaky teleport thing and follow her."

"That's not a bad idea, kid." Dean said jumping down from on top of Christie's bed. "But Cas isn't too good at playing human."

"What other choice do we have, Dean?" Christie asked looking down at Dean as he stretched out his limbs on the floor. "A peacock can't just strut into a bar and go unnoticed. "Christie said gesturing over to Shane who still laid on top of the dresser. "They'd try and kill Peter if he tried going in. Cas is pretty much our only shot at this point. After breakfast we'll call him down here and we can work out a plan. I want this witch taken care of tonight, that molesting snake gone and you and Sam human so you can hold me back before I get the chance to chop her head off."

"Wait." Kevin said ignoring the last part of what Christie had said. "What about Casitel's... people skills?" Kevin asked furrowing his eyebrows, "Dean's right, he doesn't know how to act human."

"Then we'll teach him how to act human."
