13. Chapter 11.

"I can't believe he stole my burger." Kevin griped as they entered the bar. Christie rolled her eyes, "Well, if you're still hungry then order something here."

"And get turned into a dog again? I don't think so."

They walked over to a table and sat across from each other.

"What do you mean?" Christie asked, confused.

"Well obviously the way she turned me into a dog the first time was because she spiked my drink or something." Kevin said, rubbing the back of his neck.

"I don't think that's what happened, remember what Peter said? He heard the witch mutter a spell, not slip him a potion. Get a burger, you'll be fine." She slid him a menu. He glanced at it for a moment, then waved one of the waitresses over.

"What can I get you?" the girl asked. She looked to be in her late teens, with long blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail. Kevin ordered his food and the waitress retreated to the kitchen.

"We need-" Kevin started, but was interrupted by a commotion at the front of the bar.

"Get that dog out of here!"

"Oh no." Christie groaned, putting her her head on the table.

Dean came barreling through the restaurant. He paused for a moment, then when he spotted Christie and Kevin he made a beeline for them.

"Dean what did you do?" Christie sighed. The man that had been chasing Dean came over to their table. "Is that....your....dog?" He panted.

"Yeah. He probably jumped out of the car window." Christie explained, grabbing Dean's collar. "Sorry about that. Come on Dean. I'll be right back, Kev."

"What the hell, Dean?" Christie demanded when they got back to the Impala. Sam was sitting down in front of it, looking at her expectantly.

"We saw the witch walk by." Dean explained hurriedly, "She got in a red Volkwagon van and drove off."

"You're sure it was her?" Christie asked.

"I'm sure," Peter said, climbing up on the roof of the car, "It was the same lady. Red glasses and all.

"We gotta follow her back to wherever her lair is." Dean said excitedly

"Well let me go get Kevin first." Christie sighed, and rushed back inside.

After driving down the road for a little while, they  spotted the van parked in the driveway of a green Victorian style house. "Well that just screams 'witch,' doesn't it?" Christie joked, stepping out of the Impala.

"Alright we should split up, we'll find the bitch faster that way. Chris, you and Sam take the downstairs, and me and Kevin will search upstairs." Dean said, looking up at the house.

“There’s a woman upstairs,” Kevin said looking up towards the house. Christie looked at him skeptically. “How do you know?”

Kevin pointed up, "Because she's looking out one of the windows."

They looked up at the house but all they could see was the curtain close hurriedly.

"Well that makes our job easier." Christie said, walking back to the trunk. She gathered some weapons, handing a few to Kevin and, and closed the trunk. "Let's go."

They entered the house cautiously, looking around for anything suspicious. They living room was decorated was a beach theme, with blue walls and a painting of a ship hanging on one of them.

"This place seems pretty normal for a witch's house." Christie said, stepping in first.

"That's the point." Dean said, trotting into the middle of the living room, "They've got to blend in with everyone else."

"Who the hell are you?" An old woman yelled, stepping out of the kitchen. She held a shotgun, and had it aimed at Christie's torso. Christie held up her hands in a non-threatening manner.

"Woah, just take it easy." She said calmly.

"Get out of my house!" The old woman yelled, lifting the gun. Kevin shoved Christie to the floor and the woman fired the gun.
