Fighting To Love

"Every family, friend, couple fight. But we can make it through this." I said. "Even though you hated me at first." He said. "You're never gonna let that go are you?" I asked. He shook his head.

67. Chapter Sixty Six

Ashley's POV

"I'm so tired." I groaned, rolling around in the bed. "Can we go in the pool?" Ashton asked. I pulled the covers up to my chest, and sighed. "Fine." I groaned. He smiled, and got up, completely naked. "Cute ass." I giggled. "Why, thank you, Mrs. Irwin. I could say the same for you." He replied, as I got up. I smiled, and giggled.

I put on a blue bikini, that had white bottoms. "I really like that one." Ashton smirked, pulling me into him. "I do too. It makes my boobs look bigger." I replied. "Hmm. I love those." He smirked. "Oh my god." I laughed, moving away from him. "Wha? Babe." He groaned, as I walked out the door.

"What time is it?" I asked, opening the fridge. "Twelve." Ashton replied. I nodded, and got out beers. "Oh, babe, my uh, mum is coming over." He said. I dropped the beer, and turned to him. "What?" I asked, as if I didn't hear him correctly. "She's... coming over with Harry." He replied. I sighed, and walked up the stairs.

"What are you doing?" He asked, walking into the bedroom. "Changing." I replied. "What? Why? You look good in that." He replied. "I can't wear that bikini if your mother is coming." I replied, putting on a white one piece, with metal rings going down the stomach, which made it open.

The doorbell rang, and I groaned. "Play nice." Ashton whispered. "How can I play nice when- Anne Marie, hi." I smiled. "Ashton, how's the honeymoon going?" She asked, hugging Ashton, ignoring me. I rolled my eyes, and walked to Harry. "Hey bud." I smiled. "Hi Ash. I missed you." He replied, hugging me. "I missed you too. Did you bring your bathing suit?" I asked. He nodded.

"So, the pool is heated. There's iced tea in the fridge. For lunch, we have sandwiches, salads, and all that fun stuff. Ashton can make some hamburgers. There's Vegemite in the bottom cabinet." I said, as we walked outside. "Can I go in the pool now?" Harry asked. "That is all up to you." I smiled. He walked to the diving board, and flipped in. I smiled, and sat next to Ashton.

"Ashley, that bathing suit fits you so good." Ashton's mom smiled. "Thank you." I smiled back. "It looks so good on you." She said. "Thank you. Ashton picked it out." I replied. "Well, he has amazing taste." She replied. I smiled. "I'm going in the pool, excuse me." I said, getting up.

"Oh, babe." Ashton called, as I put my feet in the warm water. I turned back to him. "Mikey called, something about Nicole." He replied. "When?" I asked, running out of the water. "I don't know... twenty minutes ago." He replied. I took a deep breath, and walked inside.

"Ashley, thanks for calling back." Michael picked up. "Which Nicole?" I asked. "Baby." He replied. "What about her, what happened?" I asked. "She was... on the monkey bars, by herself. And she fell... and kind of... broke her arm." He replied. "She broke her arm! Where were you!" I yelled. "Taking care of Bryant. He got sick." He replied. "We're coming home. The next flight out, we will be home." I said. "No, don't." He replied. "My baby is sick. My daughter broke her arm. What else happened this week?" I asked. "Uh... Jackie... broke the picture of you and your mum." He replied. "What!" I screamed. "Just the frame is broken." He replied. "My mom made that frame." I whispered.

"Ashton. We need to leave." I said, walking outside. "Why?" He asked. "Jackie broke the frame that my mom made. Nicole broke her arm. Bryant is sick." I replied. "Why is the frame so important?" His mom asked. "Ashley, go-" "You didn't tell her?" I asked. Ashton lowered his head. I scoffed. "My mom is dead." I said, walking inside the house.

I threw my clothes into a suitcase, and sighed. She's dead. "Ash." Ashton said, walking into the bedroom. "She's dead. She's gone." I cried, falling to the ground. "She's still with you, no matter what. She's always been there." He cooed, kneeling on the ground next to me. "I never admitted to myself that... she was gone." I replied, wiping my tears.

The plane took off, about an hour ago. We have a long time to go until we land. Ashton fell asleep, as well as everyone else on the plane. It's just me awake. Me and the flight attendants. "Can I get you anything Mrs.?" A flight attendant asked. "Can I have some water, please. If you have bottled water, that would be great." I replied. She nodded, and smiled.

"Here's your bottled water. Can I get your husband a blanket? He looks cold." She asked. "That would be amazing, thank you." I smiled. She nodded, and walked away. I took a sip of my water. "Here you go." The flight attendant smiled. "Thank you so much. I really appreciate it." I smiled. She nodded, and walked away.

"Hi mom." I sighed, looking at the ceiling of the plane. "I miss you so much. I know it's been a long time since I talked to you. And a long time since I visited you. But mom, it's getting harder without you here." I whispered. "I'm letting you down, mom. I'm everything you said you didn't want me to do. I'm turning into someone I'm not." I whispered, as a tear fell. "I really need you here mom. I promise I will come visit you more. I hope you're proud of me, mom. I don't know what I would do if you weren't proud of me." I sighed.
