People change

"Mom I'm 16, we don't need a babysitter, I can take care of them." I yelled. "Fio your irresponsible, I could never trust you with them." My mom sighed. I thew my hands up in frustration and walked out of the room.

Hey I'm Fio, there's not much I have to say. I thought I figured the world out, but then my world shattered. Will I ever be able to put the puzzle back together. I guess you'll have to see.

"Mom I'm 16, we don't need a babysitter, I can take care of them." I yelled. "Fiona your irresponsible, I could never trust you alone with Zoey and Matthew alone." She stated calmly.

"Whatever!" I yelled and stormed to my room.

It was about 10 minutes later when my mom yelled upstairs.

"Bye Zoey, bye Matthew, bye Fio." My yelled up to us. Zoey and Mathew are my siblings. They were twins. They were also 3. I don't understand why my mom thinks I can't handle them. I mean she thinks just because I'm quiet, reserved, rebellious, and stay in my room that I can't take care of a kid.

After 2 hours I started to get hungry. I hadn't eaten since breakfast. And even then, I only had a piece of pizza. I walked downstairs slowly trying not to run into the person watching my siblings. "She lives." I heard a familiar voice say. I turned around to see Luke Hemmings. Now I was pissed, I hate him so much. The one that was there when my parents weren't, the one that used to make life worth living, the one that left me. "Shut up." I scoffed. "There's dinner in the fridge." He smiled. "You disgust me." I said rolling my eyes. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to." He smirked. I grabbed the dinner he made and he headed to my room.

I ate the rice and chicken he had made. I thought about the times me and Luke shared. Like when we first met.

"Fio get ready, Liz and her son are coming over." My mom said sweetly. "Yep." I screamed. I put on a Seahawks jersey with a pair of jeans. I put a blue bow in my hair and headed down stairs. There was a blonde haired boy with blue eyes. "Want to see my room." I chirped. The boy looked up at me and nodded. "Luke you don't have to." My mom said to him. "It's fine, really." He reassured her.

His jaw opened as he opened my door. "Wow a whole room dedicated to the Seahawks." He gasped. "Yep." I chirped. "How old are you." He asked sitting down on my bed. "My names Fiona but I hate that name so people call me Fio, oh wait you asked my age, we'll I'm 7." I said fast. "Oh hi Fio I'm Luke, and I'm ten." He said softly .

~present day~

From there on out we were inseparable. He was like the brother I never had. At points even my father. But then he left, and then my world turned upside down. And know he think he can waltz back into my life and be the person that meant everything to me. I think not. I drifted off to sleep with these thoughts still lingering through my head.

A knock woke me from my deep sleep. "Fio wake up." My mom yelled through the closed door. "Mom it's Saturday." I whined. "It's also noon, and you still have football practice." She said firming her tone. I stood up and thew on my penguin bottoms, with a my football jersey on top of my tanktop. I slowly creeped downstairs into the kitchen. I put my vanilla protein powder in milk and blended it. I felt arms around me. I thew back my elbow hitting someone. "Ow." Luke yelled. "What the fuck do you think your doing." I screamed at him. "I was giving you a hug ." He said huddled over holding his stomach. "Well don't." I said turning back to finish my drink. I slowly turned around at the fact that he was still here. "Why are you here." I said getting creeped out. "Your mom didn't tell you?" He asked confused. "No." I said even more confused. Right then my mom walked in. "Oh honey I forgot to tell you last night, Luke is moving in with us while his parents are in Europe for business. "Why he's 19?" I said, my face getting bright red. "Because it's free to stay here rather then spend thousands of dollars on a hotel." She said sternly. I grabbed my shake and ran up to my room.

I locked my door. I sat there bored out of my mind. I mean I had no tv cause my mom took it out of my room when I got mad at her. She did the same with my computer. I played on my phone. I turned my radio to a channel playing "good girls". I didn't like Luke but I did like his band. After awhile of pure bordness I started to get ready for football practice. I curled my hair. Don't ask me why but I just do. I put on all of my padding because I'm not allowed in the locker room unless we have a game. Stupid rule, just cause I'm a girl. You may think it would be weird to change in front of guys or vice versa, but to me it's perfectly fine. I grabbed my jersey and went downstairs.

"Fio, Luke is going to take you to practice." My mom said. "Really." I whined. Luke walked up from the basement and grabbed the keys on the counter. "I'll be in the car." He yelled as he walked out the door. My mom looked back at me. "Yes Fiona, really." She said sternly. "Whatever." I yelled slamming the door.

I hopped in the car and looked down at the radio. "What CDs do you have?" I said opening up the glove department. "Don't go thew there." He yelled shutting it. "Well now I have to know." I smirked. I opened it and sifted thew with one hand, and fight back Luke with the other. "You do not." I yelled. "Oh but I do." He said shyly. I looked down at the blue cd. It was the cd that me and Luke burned with us singing on it. "Get rid of it." I demanded. He simply shook his head no. I slouched back in my seat blushing.

As I was about to leave the car I realized I forgot my helmet. I slapped my self. "what's wrong." Luke asked. "I forgot my helmet." I said getting mad. "i'll go get it and bring it back." He told me as he started the car.

I walked onto the field. I ran over to my best friend Brenton. Him and my friend Skyler we're the only ones that made my life worth living now a days. "did you forget your helmet again." He sighed looking down at me with no helmet in my hands. "Yeah but Luke's bringing it, and now he's apparently living with us." I said shyly. "you mean the jerk that just packed up and left you." He said clenching his fist and his face getting red. I patted his shoulder and nodded.

"Fio." Luke yelled as he ran onto the field. I buried my hands in my face. I ran up and got the helmet. "Is this Luke." Brenton said behind me, along with three other guys. "Brenton not right now." I said pushing him back. "Luke you should probably leave." I told him sighing. He thew his hands up and backed slowly. "See you at home." He winked.

I walked out of the stadium to see if my mom's car was there but instead I found Luke leaning up against his. I hopped in. The car ride was pure silence.

When I got home I ran up stairs and plopped ontogeny bed. I slowly drifted off.

"Hey Fio, I'm going to my business banquet, be back tomorrow, BEHAVE." She yelled stiffening her tone as she got further to 'behave'. "Whatever." I yelled back to her.

A little while later I heard a knock on my door. "Come in." I yelled rubbing my tired eyes. "What do you want." I yelled at Luke. "I was wondering if you want to watch a movie with me, your pick." He said as if he didn't know I was mad at him. "And why would I want to do that." I scoffed. "Cause it's what we used to do all the time, and you know you loved it." He smirked. I walked over to my stack of movies. "Fine, as long as we get to watch 'Silent Night At The Graveyard'" I smirked raising my eyebrow. "Whatever." He said grabbing the movie and running downstairs.

I walked down there to see him putting it in. I sat down on the couch and he sat right next to me. "Do you mind." I said looking at him in disgust. "I thought you might you get scared." He winked. "One time, one time, that was it, you know most movies don't scare me." I smirked.

We watched the movie sitting at different ends of the couch. I started to burst out laughing. "Fio, do We need to have this talk again, like when you when you were little." He smirked. "What talk?" I asked confused. "That's it's not ok to laugh when people die." He said as if he was talking to a 4 year old. "Shut up, it's funny." I smirked. After awhile I laid down putting my feet on his lap. I didn't want to but I had nowhere else to time, so. I could myself slowly drifting off to sleep. I woke up to me bouncing up and down. I creeked my eyes open to see Luke carrying me the stairs. I was about to say something but my body was just to tired.

I woke up screaming. Before I knew what happened Luke came rushing in and sat down on my bed cradling me in his arms. "What's wrong?" He cooed in my ear rubbing my back. I was still breathing hard. "Nothing just a bad dream." I snapped at him. "It's ok Fio." He whispered in my ear. He sat on my bed for about 5 more minutes till he got up. He had towards the door and stop. He turned around and looked me in the eye and smile. "Your secrets safe with me." He winked. "What secret?" I asked confused. "That you're not the bad ass that you make people think you are." He winked and left.
