Too good to be true

"Do you actually love me?" I cried, dreading to hear the answer.
"Yes," he mumbled, walking out the door. Was this the last time?

Maya and Dan weren't the most predictable couple around. She was a pretty, preppy girl, and him... Well, he was very different.

Was this destined to fail?

3. Chapter 3

The day after the neighbours almost got me grounded, again, I had to go back to school.

I hadn't been for a while, since I was in hospital for about a month. Everyone knew about it, and I mean everyone, but no one knew what happened or why, I wasn't one to tell random people how I put myself in hospital.

On Monday morning I woke up at 6am, and had a quick shower, before pulling on my long blue skirt, tights and a white shirt. Smart, yet casual, I guess. Then I went and dried my hair in my bedroom.

At 6:32 I almost caught the bus. Almost. But I was seconds late, and had to wait for the next one in 10 minutes.

"Good job I get ready early. " I sighed, tightening my medium length hair in its pony tail.

15 minutes later, and I was finally walking onto the bus. I was hit with a warm breeze, and the smell of someone's breakfast, a bacon bun, no doubt.

"Where you off to then lass?" The bus driver sat, slumped in the seat.

"Oh, child single to.. Kingsland high school please. "

"Child? Are you sure you're not older?"

Don't say it, don't say I'm 15, they probably have 'teenager singles' now.

"Yes, I'm 14, still a kid, right?"

"Oh go on then. £1.30 please. "

I gave him a two pound coin and took my ticket.

"Thank you. " The bus driver said as he drove off, making me fall awkwardly into some guy.

"I'm so sorry. " I apologised once I could stand properly.

The teenager looked up at me, as his friends laughed. He had reddish spiky hair, and a nose piercing.

I felt awkward stood there, it was the longest few seconds of my life. But, he did finally reply.
