This is the second version of this story I've made so enjoy!

61. “Remember, Rosie. The key is to focus"

Suddenly the changing room door swung open, smashing against the wall. We both flinched, but I never stopped trying to get to Harry. But I knew all I could do was watch. Harry’s chest rose as he inhaled deeply, his bottom lip quivering madly. His body shook violently as he tried tensing his muscles, both of us knowing he’d get a punishment for escaping.

I never stopped screaming, pleading for him to stop, to listen to what I was saying. But Harry continued to smile weakly down to me, thick tears trickling down his sore face. Samuel’s men marched up to the cage we had been trapped in. Harry kept hold of my gaze as long as possible before tearing his eyes away from mine, glaring to the men outside the cage. My emotions streamed down my face, the rope digging harshly into my skin as I struggled against them. The strong, tense stance of Harry’s body, his locked fists by his side told me he wasn’t going to give up.

“I love you, Rosie,” he whispered.

He was forcefully grabbed and made to turn and face the open cage door. Samuel’s figure soon appeared by the cage door in a flash, rage burning in his eyes. The men’s fingers dug tight into Harry’s biceps as Samuel approached him. My heart raced madly behind my ribs, yelling at Samuel to leave Harry alone. Samuel suddenly raised his arm above his head, aiming his large hand at Harry’s face. His mouth opened, an angry scream emanating from his lips as he went to slap Harry.

“I give in,” Harry muttered, his face scrunched up as he prepared to be beaten. Samuel held his stern frown before his face softened, his arm lowering back down to his side. Harry slowly relaxed his features, lifting his head up to stare at Samuel’s tall figure. “I’ll let you turn me.”

“Harry, stop!” I screamed. One of the men standing to the side quickly stormed up to me, slapping me harshly across the face. I whimpered, the smacking sound echoing around us. Harry’s body stiffened, his jaw tense, but he stayed calm, glaring up at Samuel through narrowed eyes.

“You can have me. On one condition,” Harry said calmly, his bruised body being held up by two men. “You let Rosalie go.”

Silence grew thick around us, my sobbing simmering down to a whimper. I hung my head, knowing I couldn’t do anything now.

My body jumped suddenly as a deafening, booming laugh cut through the air, encircling us loudly. My head shot back up, Samuel’s head flung back as he laughed deeply, causing goose bumps to rise on my skin. Harry’s gaze shot to mine, fear striking his orbs. We stared at each other, neither of us understanding. Harry was practically giving himself to Samuel. Why was he laughing?

Samuel’s head slowly tilted forward again, his chest jerking as his laughter calmed slowly. His eyes burned into Harry, cupping his chin to force Harry to look at his.

“Now what would be the fun in that, eh?” he spat into Harry’s face.

“But I’m giving myself into you!” Harry yelled, squirming in the men’s grip. “Isn’t that what you want?”

Samuel’s smirk danced on his thin lips, letting go of Harry’s chin. I watched in silence as Samuel tilted his own head to one side, running one slim finger down Harry’s bruised cheek, his sharp fingernail digging into his skin.

“I’ve waited years to have a son who was one of me. And now I have it.” His smile flickered away, his cold hand cupping the side of Harry’s neck. “I have you whether you give in or not.”

Harry couldn’t help but flinch as Samuel’s icy touch made contact with the bite mark I had given Harry last night when I almost killed him. Samuel pulled back, a grin plastered on his pale face as he stared at the red mark created on Harry’s skin.

My eyes lowered down to the floor, my head bowed. But I could still feel Samuel’s gaze burning into the top of my head, his smirk spread across his lips.

“What’s this? A love bite?” he laughed. I gritted my teeth, bringing my legs up to my chest. The thick silence following his comment told me the penny had dropped. Samuel understood.

His head shot to face me, the smirk widening across his pale face. “You got out of control, didn’t you?” he asked me.

I screwed my eyes shut, refusing to react to Samuel’s taunting. I clenched my fists, digging my fingernails into my palms. But my body grew cold as heavy footsteps marched towards me, Harry’s screaming echoing in the room. My hair was fisted roughly on the back, forcing my head up to meet Samuel’s.

“Didn’t you?!” Samuel shoved his face into mine, his nostrils flared.

Tears swelled in my eyes, giving Samuel the answer he needed. My hair was released, letting my head hang once again. My chin crashed onto my chest as Samuel stared down at me.

“It’s a shame you could never give into me. You’d have made the perfect child for me.”

He kicked me harshly, but I barely noticed, my bottom lip trembling madly. I’d killed before, so many times, but I was feeling the same pain I had after I’d killed someone I’d loved. I’d only marked Harry, but my heart clenched in my chest all the same.

I cursed myself, guilt and anger flooding inside of me. A sob escaped my lips as I buried my face into my knees, craving the control of my abilities, of my body. But I’d never had it. The beast always possessed it. Always.

“This is perfect,” Samuel said smugly. “You’ve killed before, Rosalie. I’ve witnessed each one. But it’s different with Harry. You really do love him.”

I gradually lifted my head back up, my teary eyes locking with Harry’s. I nodded slowly, sinking my teeth into my bottom lip.

“Yeah, I do,” I whispered, never letting go of Harry’s gaze. A corner of his mouth flickered up into a smile, tears swelling in his emerald orbs.

A loud clapping sound suddenly erupted around us, Samuel rubbing his large hands together. My attention shot to Samuel, his dark eyes darting from Harry to me.

“It’ll be a lot more interesting to watch you die, Rosalie,” he growled, a smug smirk spread out over his face.

“No!” Harry screamed, kicking and flailing about madly.

“Hold him,” Samuel ordered.

Harry whined painfully as the men’s grip on his arms tightened to an excruciating state, the men’s fingernails digging into his skin, close to drawing blood. I fought against my bonds frantically, but Louis gripped harshly onto my shoulder, squeezing until the pain was too much, exhausting me of all strength.

“Harry,” I whimpered, tears running down my cheeks.

I watched as Samuel reached out, clasping Harry’s wrist in an iron tight grip, tugging on his arm to stretch it out. The colour drained from Harry’s face as Samuel extended his slim index finger, staring at the sharp tip of his nail. Harry squirmed about desperately in an attempt to wrench his wrist from Samuel’s grasp.

“N-no, please. Don’t,” Harry begged hysterically, shaking his head vigorously.

Tears sprung to my eyes as I watched Harry’s body shake violently, Samuel turning Harry’s wrist over to expose the sensitive skin. His veins were prominent under the skin as Samuel lowered his pointed nail towards his wrist. A whimper fell from Harry’s lips, his head rolling back as a slow, painful cut was made across his wrist. My senses suddenly picked up the feeling of blood, a lone drop escaping the vein and running down the side of Harry’s wrist. The drop hit the floor, the splattering noise it created making me tingle with warmth.

I squeezed my eyes shut in a pathetic attempt to distract myself from the smell, the dryness in the back of my throat. I shook my head, burying my face into my knees. Harry screamed out as Samuel eventually stopped cutting, Harry’s blood dripping from the end of Samuel’s nail.

My head instinctively shot up, my dry tongue gliding over my plump lips. The smirk flashed on Samuel’s face as he watched me react, my eyes locked onto the drips running out of Harry’s wrist.

“Rosie, don’t,” Harry pleaded, wriggling his cut wrist in Samuel’s tight grip. My eyes shot to Harry’s pained face, my features slowly relaxing. I grunted lowly, using my strength to ward off the beast. But it was like trying to fight the inevitable.

My arm muscles tore under my skin, stretching to abnormal lengths. Louis let go of my shoulder, taking a wary step back from me. My mind blackened, a deep growl escaping through my gritted teeth.

“That’s it,” Samuel spoke lowly.

Suddenly Harry was turned to face me. The men hauled him towards me, his cut wrist still outstretched and held in one of the men’s grip. Harry dug his heels into the ground, flailing about in the men’s arms. His head shot from one side to the other, twisting his wrist in the man’s lock. But my eyes never let go of his wrist, one drop after the other running down the side of his wrist to the ground by Harry’s feet. My muscles burned inside of me, desiring the taste of Harry’s blood.

You’ve waited so long for this, a voice in my head told me. Taste it!

Harry whimpered as he was finally made to stand above me, his bloody wrist forced to hover by my mouth.

“Rosie, don’t give in. I believe in you. Fight it off.”

Harry’s voice was shaky and weak. Samuel was now stood beside one of the men holding Harry, his hands behind his back. My eye glanced up to Harry, a cruel, crooked grin plastered on my face but deep inside the beast was trying to rip through my flesh, screaming at me to give in, to let it out. My eyes flickered to Samuel, waiting for his permission. His head slowly nodded, his deep eyes sparkling with enjoyment at what I’ve become.

I moved my head closer to Harry’s wrist. I breathed in deeply through my nose, letting my eyes fall closed. Harry’s wrist was tugged on further, the blood making my entirety tingle. My tongue parted from my mouth, the taste I craved so close to my senses. My eyes shot open as a drop fell from the side of Harry’s wrist, landing in the middle of my tongue.

“No,” Harry whispered.

My head suddenly flung back, the taste whirling around inside my mouth, dancing on my tongue. I swirled my tongue around inside my mouth, humming at the taste it produced, the feeling it gave me. But I craved more, much more.

My eyes shot back open, locking with Harry’s damp, teary face. He shook his head at me, his emotions spilling down his face. He was soon yanked away from me, his wrist tightly bound in a piece of cloth, masking the smell of the blood. His back was to me, his head bowed as he was bandaged up. He’d given up on me. He was ashamed of me. I’d let him down.

But it was too late. I’ve let the beast escape, taking over every part of me. Samuel laughed deeply, staring down at this thing I’ve become.

“Get him out,” Samuel ordered, never tearing his eyes from mine.

Harry was dragged out of the boxing ring by the men, his squirming rendering useless against his holds. I suddenly grunted loudly, tensing all my muscles in my body. Harry’s head shot around to face me as he was tugged out of the cage, stumbling down the steps. He fell to the ground at the bottom, coughing and spluttering to the cold floor, but he was soon hauled back up to his feet and forced to turn around to watch my transformation from outside the cage.

Samuel continued to stare down at me, his eyes glistening with wickedness. There and then I knew I had been tricked to turn once again.

The beast was so close, whispering cruel words into my ear. Samuel’s men stared at me in fright, their eyes wide with shock. Samuel’s head shot around to glare at them. They quickly composed themselves, forcing evil smiles onto their pale faces.

“You know what to do,” Samuel growled.

I watched as Samuel glanced one final time down to me before spinning around, marching out of the cage. Samuel fled down the few steps to the ground, Harry being thrown over to him. Harry stumbled into Samuel’s grip and was made to spin around so his back was pressed to Samuel’s firm chest. An arm was wrapped around Harry’s neck, squeezing tight but just enough for him to be able to breathe.

“You do anything to escape and Harry will get the punishment,” Samuel growled, opening his mouth to reveal his sharp teeth. Harry whimpered, his hands on the arm around his neck.

The sight of Harry in danger and Samuel’s cruel words spinning around in my head finished it. I growled under my breath before I lashed out, the rope weak and useless under my strength. It ripped open, my wrists free once again. I shot up to my feet, my deep eyes slowly wandering around the cage. The men who had been holding Harry soon darted back into the cage, locking it behind them.

I stood in the corner of the ring, eyeing each man stood in the ring as the beast urged me to fight. The sparkle of fear died in their dark eyes, their fists locked by their sides. I took one step forward, my muscles tingling madly under my skin. Heat scorched my skull, the beast exploding inside of me, but I suddenly froze, eyes widening at the sight before me. The men’s mouths were wide open, a familiar liquid dripping from their teeth.

“Aquavirine,” Samuel called, the smirk clear in his voice. “It’s been put into their gums. One bite from them and you’re dead.”

My eyes darted to each man smirking over at me. I stepped back shakily until I was pressed to the padding in the corner. The men grew closer, slowly surrounding me. I knew I was going to die. I didn’t stand a chance.

I glanced at Harry for one final time. His eyes were already fixed on me, tears flowing from his eyes. Harry’s bottom lip trembled as the men closed in around me, blue glittery liquid dripping from their teeth. The beast still raged inside of me, but simmered down as I stared at Harry. His body was slumped against Samuel’s, his teary eyes locked onto mine.

“I’m sorry, Harry,” I mumbled.

A faint smile broke out on Harry’s bruised face, tears silently running down his cheeks.

“Remember, Rosie. The key is to focus.”

Harry smirked at me, silently nodding as if telling me to fight, telling me I can do this. I felt an immense amount of power surge through my veins, strengthening each of my muscles. My eyes narrowed to glare at Samuel constricting Harry, fists clenched in tight balls by my sides.

“Kill her!” Samuel barked.

My head snapped back to the beasts surrounding me. They all looked so similar to me, long teeth ripping out from their gums, snarling, ready to attack. My mind spun back to the days I’d received beatings from them, every punch and kick inflicted on my young body in that foster home. Rage coursed through my body, hot breaths hissed out through my teeth.

“You made my life hell,” I spat, dark eyes darting to each of my opponents. “And I’m gonna make you fucking pay for it!”
