Zoe Bird is going to be a chemistry major at Oxford University, she considers herself to be a professional matchmaker. But when it comes to her own relationship, will she know how to play it?

2. Chapter 1- Advice

I walked down the halls of South High, trying to revise for my chemistry test, this test was worth 95% of my grade. It was so important, but obviously my best friend Ally, didn't understand. She was going to be a music major, in Harvard. The only person I knew that was going to Oxford is my arch-enemy, Sophie, she is the most horrible person could ever meet. Her blonde hair glistened in sunlight and her grey eyes were like the clouds that signalled thunder. Once, Sophie boyfriend dumped her and guess what she did. She tried to drown him in the local swimming pool. She got banned from going there ever again. Anyway, enough about that witch, I had to revise. But that also got interrupted by a girl I told to just speak to her crush, I had no idea what her name was though;

"What shall I say to James?"

"Who's James?"

"My crush." She whispered as she looked around, to make she he wasn't there. I nodded,

"Um, just say; hey James, I was thinking, well, do you want to go with me to prom? Remember to giggle after you say it." I inform her as she runs off to go and find James. She has always adored my help, but she can get seriously annoying. If you didn't catch the drift, prom is tomorrow, I have no one to go with, and you can't go if you don't have a date. I had bought a dress a few years ago that actually still fits me, it's a gorgeous sky blue, halter neck dress. I know that it still fits because I tried it on last night. I walked into chemistry for our second to last lesson, it is used to revise for our test tommorow. I felt a tap on my shoulder and a random girl passed me a note, I grabbed it, I unfolded it,

'Hey little cutie, I was wondering if you wanted to go to prom with me?'. I looked around for the writer of this cute little note. No one was looking at me until I looked at Jake Waterman, the most popular, hottest boy in our entire school. He was staring at me, it was actually a tad creepy. I had no idea of what to say, so I sat there for a while and decided that I desperately wanted to go to prom, so I stuck my thumb up. He smiled and got on with his revion.
