Keeping Up With The Fangirls

Keeping Up With The Fangirls. A reality television show which showcases fangirls recruited from all over the world that compete in contests to win various prizes. The main goal of the show is to make it into the top three and win the ultimate prize.
One Direction.
Well, you don't really win One Direction, but you go on tour with them.
And, c'mon, what's better than that?
When Tori Knightley gets recruited, she couldn't be more ecstatic. But she soon realizes that this show has an ulterior motive.
And it is definitely not in the girls' best interests.

Chapter 1:

I groaned, trying to shield my eyes from the sunlight that was blinding me. In the middle of all the light, I could just make out the face of my best friend, who was currently grinning maniacally and looking like she just ran away from a mental asylum.

"C'mon Tori. Let's get up and face this wonderful, wonderful day!" She chirped. How people can manage to be so cheery in the mornings baffles me.

As you have probably figured out, I am not a morning person.

I groaned again, this time rolling over to my side to bury my face in my many pillows.

No such luck.

I fell off the bed, landing sharply on my butt. That woke me up. I got to my feet, wincing. My best friend just kept that I-may-or-may-not-have-run-away-from-the-mental-hospital look on her face.

"What do you want?" I said irritably. She still wasn't fazed.

Bad choice.

"Well first we're going to go to that favourite cafe of yours and then we're gonna go to the mall and hopefully find some sales and buy a lot of stuff and then we can chill out and talk and maybe we can watch a movie or two or maybe we can have a movie marathon and we'll like have pizza or something. How does that sound to you?"

I stared at her, not understanding a word. But, I didn't want her to repeat everything she said so I just nodded.

"Good. Now go and have breakfast and then we'll go!" She said and pushed me down the stairs, almost making me trip.

I busied myself with making an omelette and while it was cooking, I turned on the television.

"Why are you turning it on? You know nothing good ever comes on the tv on a Saturday morning." My best friend said without even looking up from her phone. I just shrugged and flipped through the channels.

"Do you like One Direction?" A female announcer's voice said.

I immediately perked up, nodding.

"Do you wish you could meet them?"

Another nod.

"Well then, why don't you fill out the application to be part of a new show, Keeping Up With The Fangirls? All details and forms are on Only one hundred girls will be chosen, so submit your form quick! And, of course, the show is about One Direction! So, fill out the forms now! Submission dates end on 1st July."

I squealed, not caring that my omelette was burning and would turn on the smoke alarm. I realized that today was 20th June, and turning towards my best friend, I screamed out, "Cara! We have to fill out those forms NOW!"
