6. Needles And Pills

Sharpened claws to pierce the skin,
A rush of thrill deep within,

Pricking points to dull the pain,
Soon enough I forget my name,

The sound of rattling stirs a beat,
Swallowing pills to defy defeat,

All the sadness fades away,
I'll do it again even though its not okay,

Slipping up with the strangest laugh,
Another pill to forget the past,

It seems normal as the lines blur,
Soon enough its joined with liqueur,

Point the sharpness into my blood,
And now its an addiction far too absurd.
