31. Hospital Drama

Carrie's POV

Dally was sitting on the bench outside of the hospital. He was leaning over and was playing with his thumbs. It seemed like he was nervous about something.

But I was really nervous.

I turned around and whispered to Soda, "Let's go out the other entrance. I don't want to talk to him and I know you don't want to."

Soda nodded in agreement. We started towards the door when we heard him moving.

"Hold on Carrie!" I saw Dally getting up and walking over.

Soda looked at me, "Just keep walking. He'll go away eventually."

We continued walking even though Dally kept calling my name. All through the hallways you could hear Dally. I could tell he wasn't going to take no for an answer. My palms started getting sweaty and I felt like I was going to throw up.

Then when I thought I was going to vomit, I turned around, "Why don't you leave us alone? You can't just walk away?"

Dally was shocked. He couldn't say anything straight, "I-I... I just wanted to see... know if you, you know. I-I wanted to see if you were okay. Steve told me you were in the hospital and I didn't know how to talk to you."

Then he stopped. Everyone in the room stood still, waiting for Dally to talk, "I love you Carrie! I would do anything for you!"

I saw he had something in his pocket. He was reaching for it. Then a shriek pierced the air.

Belle's POV

Dr. Klipa showed me around the hospital. The emergency room was in the west wing. The pediatric and dentistry area was in the north wing. Offices were in the southern wing. And specialists and the ICU were in the east wing.

I planned to spend the majority of my day in the ER and maybe a little time in the pediatric department.

Dr. Klipa let me help with the non-life threating cases. We helped a man who had cut himself while he was working on his car. The man was rude at first but when we started talking, he was like a little teddy bear.

A woman came in with a complaint with a splitting ear ache. When I looked inside her ear, I saw a small beetle. It was so gross.

I asked her, "Have you been outside recently?"

She nodded her head, "Yes, actually my husband and I just came back from a week long camping trip in the Poconos. Why?"

She didn't take the news so well, and proceeded to dig her finger in her ear and hit us when we tried to stop her. Eventually we calmed her down and washed the bug out of her ear. She swore off camping for the rest of her life.

Finally Dr. Klipa and I got a chance to breathe. We grabbed some water and took a stroll through the halls. I was about to ask him a few questions when an alarm went off.

"What is that for?"

Dr. Klipa grabbed my hand and started running down the hall, "That means someone dangerous has a gun."
