Is Bad Boy Just My Type?

Mackenzie is a plain girl from New York, but during Senior Year she gets caught up in trouble and doesn't know how to get out!

"Get away from me!" I screamed at the top of my lungs as I ran down the street. I felt the tears prickling my eyes and my lip quivering. Why did this have to happen to me? I shouldn't of ever trusted him when I first met him but I did and now look at me. "Mackenzie!" He shouted catching up to me. "Stop! It's done," I cried and kept running. "It's me," A voice softly said and I turned to see the person who was willing to help fix everything.

2. Chapter 2- The Meeting

I woke up Monday morning with a smile on my face and I had no idea why. Maybe it is that I have a comfortable bed or that I get home cooked meals everyday now. I breathed in and stood from the comfy bed. I walked into the bathroom that is located across the hall from me. I don't know how she affords this all, her place was beautiful. The whole bathroom was pretty much all marble, she even had a towel on the counter for me. I turned on the water and within 1 minute it was hot, it warms up quicker than my old place. I could really get used to this, but something just didn't seem right about it. I sighed and got into the shower.

I skipped down the hall to where I think the kitchen is. I passed many pictures of me when I was little with someone I don't recognize. I'll have to ask my dad about those.

"Hey sweetie!" My grammy smiled and led me to the table. "You made this all?" I asked smiling at her. "Of course! I made your favorite, pancakes with strawberries on top," She said kissing the top of my head. "Mother you don't have to make Mack food, she knows how to cook." My dad said shaking his head at me but I just shrugged.

"Well I don't mind Ron now sit and eat." Grammy pestered him until he sat down beside me. "I have to get going Mack but I'm picking you up from school because your car isn't starting okay?" My dad said standing from his chair. "Okay," I sighed finishing up my plate. "He works too much! He is too young to be working that much," Grammy frowned and began cleaning up. "Thanks for breakfast," I kissed her cheek and rushed out her door before she could say anything else.

"So you moved out of your place in a day?" Kallie laughed at how impossible it is. "Yes Kal, I don't own much stuff anyways and we left the furniture." I said as we stopped at my locker.

"Why is he so hot!" Kallie whined, she literally thinks every guy is hot. "Who? Kallie I thought you had a boyfriend." I sighed and she pointed behind me. "Zayn? No, he is a total jerk." I said rolling my eyes. "Well I don't care, I'm going to talk to him." She explained but before I protest she was already walking over to him.

I saw him look her up and down before smirking. I watched intently, if he tried anything I would hit him. "Hey Mack," I jumped up and turned to see James my other best friend. "Hey," I smiled. "Why is Kallie talking to Zayn?" He scoffed rolling his eyes. I know he likes her but she doesn't see it. "I don't know," I breathed and we started walking away from my locker.

We walked into the science room and took our usual seats. Ms. Jensen was sitting at her desk with her daily scowl plastered on her face. "I hate this class so much!" James complained tapping his fingers on his desk. "Me too," I laughed as Kallie walked into the class. Kallie sat down in front of me and turned around smirking at us. "Zayn said I'm hot," She gushed on and on about all of the lies he said. "Okay class, attendance." She said going through the names. Yep's and Yeah's filled the room.

We had the whole period to finish assignments that were due the next day. I finished them yesterday so I got a period off pretty much. I wonder what they are serving for lunch today, maybe fries. Mmm I could really go for a fries with gravy right now. "Mack?" Kallie knocked me from my thoughts. "Yeah?" I said looking in her direction. "Are you coming after school to my place?" She smiled and fiddled with her pencil. "Yeah sure," I smiled back just as the bell rang. We walked out and all headed to our next classes. I have every single one of my classes with James, which can be good but also bad because he likes to bug me.

We sat down near the back of the room because this teacher talks really loud. I handed my assignments to the teacher when he came around, good thing I actually did it yesterday then. "James, where is your work?" The teacher asked smirking at him. "Not done," He said blankly staring at him. "Get it in tomorrow." He said walking onto the next person. "Why are all teachers mean to me?" James complained shaking his head. "Because you talk back to them all the time," I giggled and pushed him slightly.

After our second class we headed to the café meeting up with Kallie. "Hey girl," Kallie smiled. "Hey," I said and got inline for fries. The only good thing in the café are the fries no doubt. "You shouldn't eat all of those calories," Kallie said grabbing a salad. "Shut up," I teased putting a burger on her tray. I looked over at James' tray, he had 2 burgers stacked with probably everything you could put on a burger. "Fat ass," I joked with him as we paid for our food.

After school me and Kallie headed towards her house. "I need a car," Kallie whined as we walked up her sidewalk. "Get a job," I smirked. "Nobody ever wants to hire me," She sighed unlocking her door. "Come work with me," I smiled and followed her to the kitchen. "Too busy, I need more of a slacker job." She said sitting by the counter. "Well that will be hard to find," I stated the obvious. "What are we doing tonight?" She asked excitedly. "I don't know," I said truthfully. "Well that's hit the mall, I need clothes." She said pulling me along.

We got in a taxi and drove for 30 minutes before stopping in front of forever 21. She dragged me into the store and rushed over to a rack of on sale clothes. "Are you going to buy anything?" She said picking up a pair of white shorts. "No, I don't need any," I said. "Well okay I'm going to try these on," She said walking away. I tapped my foot impatiently, she has been in there for 10 minutes.

"Okay I'm done," She said walking over to the check out. "You got 3 things and it took you 10 minutes?" I asked with shock in my tone. "Shut up," She smirked and paid for them. $100 i could never afford to shop like she does.

"Crap my mom needs me home to babysit Max," Kallie sighed and slipped her phone back into her purse. "Okay well I'll see you tomorrow," I smiled and started walking to the exit of the mall. I really need my car at times like this, and it is colder today which sucked even more. I decided I could stop for a quick cup of hot chocolate, there was a coffee shop down the street.

When I got there only a few people were seated at tables. I got in line waiting for the person in front of me to order, they take long enough. "Hot chocolate please," I told the young man working, he nodded and turned his back. "1.60 please," The man said impatiently, I handed him the money and took my drink.

"Mackenzie right?" Someone sat from behind me. "Oh yeah," I laughed nervously. I don't know this guy and to be honest I'm kind of frightened.

"I'm Liam," He smiled at me and I smiled back slightly. "Sorry, you probably don't know who I am. James is my cousin," He explained, I never knew he had a cousin that lived here.

"Oh! I didn't know his cousins lived here," I said sitting down across from him. "I just moved back, I'm from Washington." He said sipping his coffee. "Really? I've never been there," i told him and his eyes widened. "You've never been there?" He asked surprised, I laughed lightly and nodded. "Well it was a good fit for me but I wanted to come back home," He smiled and finished off his coffee.

"Well I better head home, see you Mackenzie." He said getting up and leaving. I had a feeling that wasn't his cousin, this guy had brown eyes and all of his family has blue. Maybe he just got the different colour, I'll have to ask James tomorrow.

I decided to start walking home, I only lived a few blocks away so I'd be home before 10 which means before my dad. I was almost home when a bang shot through my ears. My eyes scanned the area, but nobody was in sight. The noise happened again, but still nobody. I started running home, this was freaking me out.

I bumped into someone when I got onto my Grammy's street. "What the hell!" The voice said angrily. "I'm s-sorry," I stuttered and stood up. "Watch- Oh well hello there," The mysterious guy said and for some reason I could feel his smirk. "If you'll excuse me," I pushed passed him but he grabbed my wrist. "Don't touch me," I growled and yanked my wrist away.

I got into the condo safely and walked to my new room. I changed out of my clothes and crawled into bed falling into a dreamless sleep.
