"What will Harry even say?" I asked. "Doesn't matter. I love you too much to not have you," he said. A tear slipped from my eye. "I will never leave you," he murmured. "Do you trust me?" Fight For You Chapter 45

Brooke's Pov:

~One Month Later~

I stayed quiet as the four boys were playing with their laser tag game that they have won. They would run around the apartment shooting each other and fake being killed. Louis was no where to be seen. I haven't seen him since I woke up which angered me. He said a quick goodbye to all of us and left. The boys didn't seem to mind about his disappearance but I did. I was furious and hurt by him. He was so oblivious, too. Louis was being a jerk.

Harry, Liam, Niall, and Zayn were still running around the living room shooting each other. I sat on the couch upset that Louis wasn't here. I haven't had one phone call or text from him and today was a special day. Of course Louis and I were the only ones who knew or I sure hope Louis still knows in that case. If not, then he might as well know what he wants to out on his gravestone.

"Bam!" Niall screamed. He jumped in front of me and shot me with a laser, scaring me as I screamed in fright. He burst out laughing and same with the other boys. "Cheer up Brookesters. You've been quiet all day," Harry said and sat down next to me. He drenched in sweat and was out of breath. "What's wrong?" Liam asked as the others sat across from me. They too were out of breath and sweaty. "Nothing," I muttered. "Something is definitely up," Zayn said as he nudged my leg. "It's nothing. I promise," I said. "Would playing laser tag help cheer you up?" Niall asked. I gave them a small smile and shook my head. "No thank you," I said.

"Lads can you give Brooke and me a minute alone please," I heard that familiar voice, that would always give me butterflies. It came from the lift. We looked up and turned our head in the direction towards the voice. Louis stood there looking nervous as can be. His hands were behind his back as he rocked back and forth on his heels. The boys nodded and left to the kitchen but before they looked back at us with curiosity.

Louis walked towards me with an apologetic smile. I frowned and crossed my arms over my chest. "You didn't think I would forget our one month anniversary, did you?" he asked, he grinned as he pulled a huge bouquet of tulips and daisies from behind his back. I gasped in shock, my anger instantly vanished. "What? I thought you forgot," I said. He shook his head and laughed. "How could I forget? It's been a month since we dated," he said. "I'm not a douche who forgets about his anniversary with his girl."

I pulled him in a hug. He didn't hesitant to hug me back. "Happy one month anniversary babe," he whispered. "I love you." He kissed my cheek. "I love you too," I said, smiling. I pulled back and took the bouquet from his hand. I smelled the flowers and grinned. "I'll put them up in my room for now," I said. "You go do that. Also check your closet. Wear the one that has the note on it for later tonight. I want to let you know," he said. "I will," I said. I walked up the carpet stairs and down the hallway to my room. I walked in and placed the flowers in an empty vase that I had up here.

I walked over to my closet and opened the door. There hung a teal strapless dress that had white ruffled at the end. Silver, sparkly heels were on the ground underneath it. I picked up the note off the dress and read it.

Dear Baby Girl,

Wear this tonight when I take you out. I have a plan for tonight. It will be only us.

Love you,

I blushed and placed the note aside. I scanned the dress. It was a very pretty color. The teal was a light shade. It was definitely something I would wear. I closed my closest door and walked out of my room. I made sure to turn off the light before leaving. I walked down the hallways and down the stairs to see everyone was sitting on the couch.

"Hey," I greeted. "Someone's finally in a good mood," Harry said, smiling. "Louis has some magic to change your mood in an instant," Liam said. Louis grinned and said, "I guess I have it in me." Louis sent me a wink causing my cheeks to turn a pink shade. "Yeah. . ." I trailed off. I sat in between Zayn and Niall. Louis kept his gaze on me the whole time feeling a bit jealous that I didn't sit next to him. I smiled to myself and twisted in my seat to face Harry as he spoke. I didn't really pay much attention to what he said as I focused on Louis gaze on me.

"So, how does that sound, Brooke? Brooke!" he said as he tried catching my attention. I snapped out of my thoughts and smiled at Harry. Louis smirked at me as he leaned back in his seat. I looked at Harry in confusion. He chuckled and said, "Do you want to come down to the laser tag match tonight? The lads and I are going." Louis shook his head no from behind everyone so they couldn't see. I looked up at him then back at Harry. He was waiting for an answer. "I don't think tonight will work. I haven't been feeling my best today," I said and faked a smile. "My throat hurts."

"I'm sorry Brooke," Liam said. "I hope you're okay," Zayn said, sounding sincere. "Come on! I let you take a sip of my drink," Niall groaned. "Now, I'm going to get sick." He pouted. "Poor Niall. He is going to get a little sick," Liam cooed as he pinched Niall's cheek. Niall slapped his hand away and scoffed. "Am not," he defended. "Whatever," Liam snickered. "Will you be okay by yourself here?" Harry asked. "Harry I'm nineteen- almost twenty- I'm going to be fine," I said. He chuckled and said, "Sorry. I know. I'm being protective." "But I understand," I said and wrapped my arms around him.

"Brother and sister love," the boys cooed. "That's right," Harry said and playfully kissed my cheek. "Harry," I giggled and wiped my cheek. He smiled down at me and laughed. "Anyways, what about you Louis? Are you going?" Harry asked. "No, I have to do some shopping tonight. Definitely next time," Louis said. "If you say so," Harry said as he jumped on Louis' back. Louis grinned and ran around with Harry on his back. "Crazy boys," I said. "In deed they are," Zayn said. Louis gave Harry a noogie as Harry grimaced in pain.

I burst out laughing at the two boys. After they gave each other noogies and a few playful punches, they walked back over here. "So, when do you leave?" I asked. "In about a hour or so," Niall said. "Not bad," Louis said. "Nope. So, then we will be back later tonight," Zayn said. "We have to beat this little kid's arse," Liam said. "Don't hurt him or make him cry at losing," I said. "Well, I better go upstairs and rest. Bye guys. I love you all." I smiled and waved, making my way up. "Bye Brooke." They waved. Louis sent me his signature wink before I walked away into my room. I went and sat down on my bed. I'd give it a few minutes until I would do my usual routine.

I walked to my closet and pulled out the heels and dress. I laid them down on the bed. I unclipped my necklace and bracelet then I laid them down on the dress. I locked the bedroom door before walking to the bathroom. I walked in and locked all the doors, I turned on the shower and changed it to the temperature I wanted it. I unbutton my white blouse and took it off. I kicked off my high top white converse and pulled off my leggings. I set them aside and jumped in the shower.

I did my usual long shower routine that I would always do. Shampoo, conditioner, body, shave. The same thing each time. When I finished my shower, I wrapped a towel around my body and got out. I tied my towel around my body and grabbed a brush. I brushed out my hair and picked up the hair dryer. I turned it on and began to blow dry my hair straight. I blow dried my hair in layers to get it flat and straight. Once I've finished with the blow dryer, I unplugged it and put it away. I opened my bedroom door to let the hot steam out. I sprayed hair spray in my hair to keep it in place. I pulled out my make up which contained eyeliner, mascara, pink lipstick, eyeshadow, and blush.

I first did my eye make up then my lips then my cheeks. I looked flawless if I say so myself, of course besides the towel. I walked out of the bathroom and into my room.I closed the bathroom door behind me and walked over to my dresser then, pulled out a pair of underwear. I dropped my towel and I slid them on then I picked up my dress. I unzipped my dress and stepped into it. I pulled it up and zipped up the back (which was a challenge). I turned around in the full length mirror to see I look amazing.

I smiled in approval before I sat down on my bed and slid on the heels. I clipped them on each foot. Then, I picked up my necklace and clipped that on around my neck. I clipped on my bracelet and shook my wrist to loosen it a bit. I stood up and spun around in my dress as I looked in the mirror. "Perfect," I whispered. I placed my hair behind my shoulder to let it fall down my back. I looked beautiful and I felt beautiful.

There was a knock on my door which was followed by a voice, "Brooke are you ready? The boys left an hour ago." I opened the door to be face to face with a outstanding looking Louis? He wore dark jeans that were rolled up at the end. He wore a white shirt with his black tuxedo jacket button up. He wore black dress shoes to complete the outfit. "You look very manly as you would say," I teased as I hugged him. "You look gorgeous," he whispered at he hugged me back. He took my hand in his as we pulled back from the hug. "Are you ready m'lady?" he asked. "M'lady. . . I like that," I said.

He smiled and we began to walk down the stairs to the lift. We pressed the button to the lift and the doors opened. We walked in and he pressed the bottom floor button.

The doors closed and the lift began to move. This night is going to be perfect.

After an short car ride of talking and laughing, we arrived at the beautiful Italian restaurant. The outside of the restaurant had vines and light around the building. The sign was lit up in white and sparkling letters. Little Italy was the name. "This is beautiful Louis," I gushed. "I'm glad you like it. I thought it would be nice to rent the restaurant out to ourselves," he said. "You rented it out?" I asked, surprised. "Yes. For the two of us," he said. I pulled him in a hug. He wrapped his arms around me as I wrapped my arms around his neck. "It's amazing that you would go through this much for someone like me," I said. "I'd do anything for you," he whispered. I smiled at him before kissing his lips, gently. We melted in the kiss as we closed our eyes. He placed one of his hands on the black of my neck, pulling me in closer. I ran my fingers through his hair as we passionately kissed.

We pulled back breathlessly. "Now, how about that dinner?" he asked with a smile. "Bring on the Italian," I giggled. He smirked and entwined our hands together. We walked through the front door to see two waitresses standing at front of us. There was a brunette with bright, round blue eyes and pale skin. In a way, she looked almost liked me besides the eyes and skin tone. She had the same hair color and length, the same height, nose, pink lips, dimple, and eye shape but her personality was nothing like me as eyed me up and down before leaving with a mischief smile on her face. She left us with a tall red hair girl. Her hair was curled and went to her shoulders. She had fare skin and an amazing figure.

The restaurant was dimmed inside. There was a wine bar and fake vines inside. "Louis Tomlinson?" the red hair waitress asked. "Yes that is me," Louis smiled. "My name is Scarlett and I'll be your waitress this evening," she said with a small smile. "Right this way," she said as she led us to a single table in the middle of the restaurant. There was a candle lit in the middle of the table with two wine glasses and already prepped meals. Roses were scattered around the table on the floors and on top.

"Wow," I gasped. Scarlett looked at me with amusement as I looked around the room. The ceiling had a chandler in the middle, the chairs were a gold and red color, tables were pushed aside besides the one. The waitress led us to our table. Louis pulled out my chair for me as I sat down and said, "Thank you." "You're welcome," he said and kissed my cheek before walking over to his side. He sat down and the waitress lifted up our dinner covers. "The food is sill nice, hot, and delicious just like you said. I hope you enjoy," she said before walking away.

"So far this is amazing," I said. "It will only get better," Louis said, "and more exciting." "Everything always does," I said. I picked up my fork and took a bite of the lasagna I had. Louis stirred up his pasta on his fork and put the food in his mouth. We looked at each other (our eyes growing wide) before we burst out laughing. "This is amazing!" we exclaimed. We continued to eat our meal in delight.

"You have a little something Brooke," he said. My cheeks turned red in embarrassment. "Where?" I asked. "Right here," he said, leaning forward and smudging mashed potatoes on my cheek. I gasped as he laughed out loud. "It looks like you have gravy right here," I said and smudged some on his lips. His eyes widen before he smudged mash potatoes on my lips. "Louis!" I said as I threw my head back in laughter. "You have gravy on your lips." "And you have mash potatoes on your lips," he said, laughing. We calmed down from laughing, a smile formed its way on our lips.

"Do you want to make mash potatoes and gravy?" he asked and winked. I laughed and shook my head. "Don't say that ever again," I said before I smashed my lips onto his. My hand wrapped around his neck. I tilt my head to the right as I pulled him closer in the kiss. Our lips moved slowly and perfectly in sync. His kiss sent tingles through my body. It was some thing new I have ever experience.

We pulled back to catch our breath. "I know you love it," he joked about what he said. "Definitely," I sarcastically said but giggled after. I sat back but realized I still have mash potatoes on my cheek. Louis laughed and nodded his head towards the door. "I'll be right back," I said, smiling at him. "Don't take too long," he said. I stood up and walked to the bathroom. I pushed opened the bathroom door and walked in. I walked to the sink and I grabbed a paper towel. I damped it a little before I wiped off the smeared potatoes that was on my cheek. My cheek may still smell like potatoes but there was nothing I could do.

I fixed my hair a bit before I smiled in the mirror and walked out but I wish I had stayed a little longer in there because what I saw next had broke my heart and shattered it completely. I stopped abruptly when I saw something shocking that I never thought would happen to me or for me to witness. My heart stopped and I felt the tears come. They burned my eyes and I tried to blink them away but the streamed down my cheeks, mixing in the powder. Everything began to spin around me and I felt sick to my stomach. I didn't know what to do. Run out? I couldn't even move because I was in so much shock. The pain was hard to explain but it hurt.

A loud sob escaped my lips. I covered my mouth as tears fell. The tears were blurring my vision. Louis was kissing the beautiful brunette waitress. His one hand was on her cheek as the other was on her hip. I have never thought I would see this happen. My world came crumbling apart and I didn't know what to do.

He pushed her away and stared (what looked to me was a blank expression) at her. I let out another sob which caused him to look my way. His face dropped and fear ran through his eyes. His eyes were evident with distress and regret. "Louis?" I said as tears fell. He looked at me in shock and sorrow. "Brooke. . . please it's not-" He began to say but I cut him off, "I know that excuse Louis. That is the oldest excuse in the book, so it's not going to work on me. That is really pathetic of you. Really Louis, on our month anniversary?" "Please let me explain," he begged. "I don't need any explanation I know what I saw," I snarled. I didn't know I had it in me until now.

I walked to the front of the restaurant and I opened the door then, I walked out and slammed the door behind me. "Brooke!" I heard Louis shout. Tears fell in large amounts from my eyes. I wiped them away with the back of my hand and continued to walk down the sidewalk. The black mascara smeared across my hand from the tears. I didn't bother going to his car. I was not going to put up with him.

"Brooke please," Louis begged from behind me. I turned around causing him to bump into me. I pointed my finger to his chest and said, "You." "You broke your promise!" I said in anger. "You promised you will never hurt me and keep me safe. You promised you will never find someone else," I growled, pointing to his chest again. Tear began to fall down more. I quickly wiped them away.

"I didn't mean to hurt you," he cried. "You cheated on me!" I screamed at him. He looked down at the ground then back up at my eyes. "She came on me!" He exclaimed with tears falling down. "It's not what it looks like. Please believe me," he cried. "I tried pushing her away! You came at the wrong time." "Please don't leave," he whispered. "Leave? Why shouldn't I? It's looks like you were cheating on me," I snapped, I humorously laughed through the tears that have fallen. "I did not cheat on you Brooke!" he shouted. I jumped a little but I'm wasn't backing down in fear. "Why can't you believe me? I would never cheat on you!" he continued to shout. "It looks a lot like you did!" I shouted back. He groaned in annoyance and pulled at his hair. He was still crying and as for me? I wiped the tears away but they threaten to fall.

"Do you want to know something Louis?" I said, walking to his shaking body. I looked him in the eyes for a long time. His eyes were red and puffy from crying. I scanned his face for any emotion before speaking. "This is the reason why I was afraid to fall in love." We were silent. We both did not know what to say after that. He was thinking about a lot of things but mostly about what I said.

My lip quivered as tears brimmed at the corner of my eyes. Then, I said the unexpected. "I hate you Louis Tomlinson!" I screamed with hurt. We were speechless at what I said. We were shocked also but mostly speechless. The look on his face had broke me even more (if that were possible). He had hurt me and I hated him for that. He broke his promise to me. I backed up from him and I ran away, not knowing where I was going.

No matter how mad or hurt I am from him, even though I don't want to admit it. I could never hate him. He will always have a big part of me that I could never let go.
