"What will Harry even say?" I asked. "Doesn't matter. I love you too much to not have you," he said. A tear slipped from my eye. "I will never leave you," he murmured. "Do you trust me?" Fight For You Chapter 29

Brooke's Pov:

My palms began to sweat and shake, they were becoming clammy and sticky. My heart thumped loudly against my chest in fear of what Harry will do or say. I was nervous and I'm sure you could tell. "Harry, there is something I need to tell you," I said. "I can tell you anything, right?" "I'm your brother of course you can," he said and sent me a smile. I nodded and let out a sigh. "I thought I should tell you since your my brother and you need to know," I said. He nodded for me to continue. "It's about Louis," I said. He seemed to be more curious at Louis' name.

"What about him? What did he tell you?" he asked. "He didn't tell me anything," I said. He sighed in relief and nodded for me to speak. I opened my mouth to talk but the words seemed to be stuck in my throat. I couldn't bring myself to tell him.

This is hard, so I'm just going to tell him straight forward and wish for the best. "Look, I am in love-" I was cut off with a huge crash from inside that took both of us by surprise. We looked at each other then looked inside to see Louis was on the ground holding his hand in pain. I ran in with out hesitation and went straight to Louis. I dropped to my knees (I ignored the stinging sensation I felt when I landed hard) and looked at his hand. It was swollen and bruised badly.

"What happened?" I asked with worry in my voice. Harry ran in right behind me and stopped to look at me. "Louis and I were helping with the clean up and he wasn't looking where he was going and tripped over his feet and landed right on his hand," Zayn explained. I looked up at Zayn to see he held a solemn expression. I sighed and looked back at Louis to see he was looking up at me.

"Are you okay?" I asked. "I'm fine. I'm only a little sore," he said. "We need to get you to the hospital," I said. "I'm fine Brooke. I'm not dying," he joked as he tried to lighten the mood. I lightly smiled at him before helping him up. It was a little hard because of his weight and he only had to use one hand but I managed to get him to his feet. Niall walked over to help me get Louis up which helped a lot. "Thank you," I said to Niall. He nodded and walked back next to Liam.

"Can we please get it checked out. For me?" I pleaded. He looked in my eyes and debated whether or not he should before nodding. "For you," he said. I smiled at him and nodded. "I'm going to take Louis to the hospital. We will meet everyone back at the house," I said. "Hurry back," mum said. "We will," Louis said. They all nodded, smiling.

Louis and I walked to the lift and I pushed the button. The doors opened and we walked in. I pushed the lobby button and the doors closed. As the lift moved, I couldn't help but take a look at Louis to see if he was okay but he was already looking at me. His eyes met mine and his cheeks turned bright red as he looked away. I put an arm on his shoulder which caused him to look at me again.

"Are you sure you're okay?" I asked. Worried and sincere filled my voice. "Yes, I'm fine. Don't worry about it. The most is that it's probably sprained or fractured," he said and gave me an assuring smile. "What made you not pay attention to where you were going" I curiously asked. He froze in place and was speechless. "Well," he scratched the back of his neck. I waited for him to continue. "We were just talking and he was teasing me. Not in a mean way of course," he said. "Teasing you about what?" I asked. His cheeks turned a light shade of pink. "You," he whispered, thinking I didn't hear.

Before I could reply, I was cut off by the lift doors opening and a loud ding. We walked out of the lift and walked through the hotel lobby until we exit out of the hotel. He was avoiding the conversation as much as possibly as he tried walking ahead at a quick pace. I tried to hurry my best to keep up with him but with his longer legs it was hard.

"Where is the car?" I asked, trying to make a conversation. "Over here," he said. We walked towards our right and walked down the third aisle of cars. "I'll drive," he said. "What? No," I said as I looked at him as if he was crazy. I stopped walking which caused him to stop too. "Why not?" he asked and turned to face him. "You have a hurt hand," I pointed out. "So? I can drive with one hand," he shrugged. "You have a hurt hand!" "It's okay," he said as he laughed it off and we began walking again.

We reached the car only seconds later and he sat in the drivers side. I sighed and got in the passengers side. "I swear if you crash this car. Harry will kill you," I said as I buckled up. "Do not worry. We aren't going to crash," he said. He started the car with his good hand and backed out.

"Oh my, this can't be good."

"You can open your eyes now," Louis said as I felt the car come to a stop. "Are we there yet?" I asked and opened one eye. I relaxed and opened my eyes. "Was I that bad?" he joked. He opened the door with one hand and got out. I unbuckled and got out also. I closed the door and walked to Louis' side; I touched my arms and face and I sighed in a teasing way but I was also relief that we made it.

"I'm alive," I breathed. "Never again." I pointed at him in a mocking way. "Don't worry. I was careful," he said. "Yeah but you drove so slow," I exaggerated. "You wanted me to be careful and then you began to complain about that," he said as we started walking to the front of the emergency room. "Then, you were speeding down the road and went over every speed bump there is as fast as you can go!" I exclaimed. He burst out laughing. "But we didn't crash," he said. I sighed and shook my head. "Still..." All of a sudden I burst out giggling with my cheeks turning a rosy-red color and a tear stand at the corner of my eyes.

"What? Let me in on the joke. What's so funny?" he asked. "I just remembered what you did when I told you to stop," I said, wiping the tear from under my eyes. "What did I do?" he asked. "You placed a finger up to my lips, shushed me, and put on your best pout face. I found it adorable," I said. "I'm not adorable. I'm manly," he insisted. "We are not going through this again," I said while shaking my head as we walked inside the automatic doors that led to a waiting room filled with chairs, TVs, vending machines that were filled with snacks and drink, employees, and two desks (one at the front and one at the back).

Together, we walked up to the front desk where a middle-age women sat with a bored expression across her face. She looked miserable and desperate for wanting to leave this place. To add on her miserable state, it was awfully quiet in the waiting room, the people- who waited anxiously for news- looked depress, and she had to stay seated at a desk all day until her hours are up.

"Hi, is there any doctor available or a way we can get in?" I asked. The lady looked up and looked between Louis and me. She smacked her gum in her mouth loudly and it was very disturbing and impolite. "What are you here for?" she asked. "I've injured my hand, it's swelling and turning a dark color," Louis said. "What's your name?" she asked. "Louis.. Louis Tomlinson," Louis said and smiled proudly. "You have to wait for a few minutes and the doctor should be out," she said. We nodded and took a seat on the chairs by the vending machine.

"A lot of people are here," Louis whispered. "I wonder why," I whispered back. "I hope nothing too tragic." "Maybe a friend or family are here," he whispered. I shrugged and nodded. "I just hope they are okay," I said.

"May I see your hand?" I asked. He held out his hand for me. His hand looked gruesome to look at, it was now having some spots turn a lime green that mixed with the light purple. "Can you move it?" I asked. "I can but it hurts when I do," he said.

I took his non injured hand in mine. Our hands shook because of mine. "Why are you shaking?" he asked. "I'm scared," I said, I rested my head on his shoulder. "Why?" he asked. "I hate hospitals," I said, "every time I come in one it freaks me out from how dull and plain it is. It's so quiet besides the beeping of the heart monitor. Or sometimes when you walk by an open E.R. room you may accidentally see a disturbing in but that will never leave your head." "Don't be scared. I'm here," he said. "Call me your superhero." I blushed, smiling. Louis and I laughed, a little too loudly on accident because the front lady hushed us to be quiet. Her stern face held a frown.

"What's her deal?" Louis asked. "She probably woke up on the wrong side of the bed," I grumbled and folded my arms across my chest. He burst out laughing which caused me to laugh loudly and boisterous. People around us were sending us glares or disgusted looks and giving us a disapproving look. The front desk lady narrowed her eyes at us, causing us to silent our laughter. "Immature idiots," she muttered under her breath. "Immature idiots," Louis mimicked her snobby attitude. "I can call her plenty of names that aren't unoriginal."

The door opened up that led into the E.R. rooms and a man in a white coat with a clipboard appeared. "Louis Tomlinson," the doctor said. We looked over at the door and stood up. We walked to the doctor who motioned us to follow him. "Follow me," he said. We obeyed and followed him through the door to see doctors rushing around and people being rushed in the emergency rooms. Some curtains were opened while others were closed. What scared me the most was that you can hear some of the patients screaming in agony and fear. I tried my best to ignore it but it was hard to. It terrified me to where my body was shaking. Louis' wrapped his arm (the good one) around my shoulders and pulled me closer to his body to ease my nerves down. "You will be fine. I'm here," he whispered in my ear and gave me a light squeeze on the shoulders.

The doctor led us to one of the empty rooms at the end of the hallway and away from the screaming. It was like your everyday normal E.R. room that was plain and boring. Louis went to go sit on the bed that was against the back wall. His legs dangled off the side but they hit the ground. He patted the spot next to him for me to sit next to him. I looked at the doctor (I make sure it was okay for me to do so) and he nodded. I went and sat down next to Louis. The doctor closed the curtain to give us a little privacy then proceeded to ask, "What may be the problem?"

"I had a little incident with a friend and I ended up hurting my hand," Louis said. "Let me see," the doctor said. Louis carefully lifted up his hand. He winced and but on his lip to help distract the pain. The doctor carefully inspected Louis' injured hand. "Well it doesn't look broken which is a good thing but on the safe side, we should take an X-ray just to confirm it," the doctor said.

"When?" I asked. "Right now would be fine but you will have to wait in here," the doctor said. "That would be fine," Louis said. My body went tense and I quickly looked at Louis. He noticed that I was acting unease again and said, "You will be fine. I'll be quick." I nodded. "It should be over quick," the doctor assured.

Louis stood up and I watched them walk away. The curtain was pulled closed again and I was left alone, sitting awkwardly alone in the emergency room until my phone went off. I quickly answered it, because I did not want to disturb the people next to me.

"Hello..." "Brooke! Is everything okay? Where are you?" Gemma's voice echoed through the phone line. "Everything is fine. I'm still in the emergency room while Louis is getting an X-ray," I said. "Brooke!" I heard everyone else exclaimed. "Will you be quiet? I am talking to her," Gemma muttered. I snorted. I heard rustling in the back ground before Gemma came back on. "Anyways. Now that they are gone. You and Louis seemed close tonight," she said. I jumped down from the bed and poked my head through the curtain to see he wasn't around or was coming back. I walked back to the bed and sat down. "Gemma." "I know... I know. Nothing is going on, we are just friends, blah blah blah I know," she said. I chuckled and said, "Sorry to disappoint you but it's the truth." "I know. It's just you guys are so cute!" she exclaimed. "Just know that in the future if I'm right I'll say it now," she began. I waited for her to continue.

"I told you so," she said in a sing song voice. "Nothing will happen," I said with a sigh but covered it up with a laugh. The curtain was pulled opened and Louis walked in with the doctor. The bed dipped as he took a seat next to me. "I have to go. Bye Gemma," I whispered and hung up. "We have his X-rays." The doctor began to hang X-ray pictures on a board that lit up. He switched the light on and the picture showed up more clearly of Louis' bones. "It isn't broken which is a good thing," the doctor said. "But it looks like he did fracture his wrist from when he fell." "Is it serious?" I asked, worried. "No not at all. All I have to do is put a splint on then, he is free to go," the doctor said. "I'll be right back with the hand splint," the doctor said before leaving. I turned to Louis and hugged him. He wrapped one of his arms around me.

"I'm glad you're fine. I thought you broke your hand then I'll have to kick Zayn's butt just for distracting you," I joked. He laughed and let go of me. "See I'm alright. I'm strong like that," he said. "Good," I said. He wrapped an arm around me again as we waited.

"How was the X-ray?" I asked. "It hurt when I had to move my hand but besides that it was okay," he said. "What a way to spend a birthday, right?" he kids. "That I'm waiting in the hospital? It's so exciting," I joked. A yawn escaped my lips so, I rested my head against his shoulder. "Are you tired?" he asked. "I am. I had a long day," I said and yawned again. "But you still had fun," he said. I nodded, agreeing. "It was the best birthday I ever had," I said. "I'm glad you had fun." "I'm a little upset that we are leaving in a few days," I said. "Yeah I am too. I had a lot of fun here in Cheshire," he said. "It was impossible to forget," I said. He nodded. "Do you think when we leave, I'll see my family again, like sometime in the future?" I asked. "I'm sure you will Brooke. For example: when Harry comes down here again you will too," he said.

"The bad thing about leaving is that I will have to go back to work," I grumbled. "I forgot, you do. I'm sure you will love that," he laughed. I couldn't help but let a smile fall on my face. "I live my job but then I hate it. I get low pay," I said.

The curtain opened again and the doctor walked in. "Let me see your hand again, Louis," he said. Louis carefully lifted his hand up, the doctor slid the splint on and tighten it by wrapping the Velcro around Louis wrist. Louis winced but relaxed a little after. "Do you know how to take care of it?" the doctor asked. "Yes I do and if I don't I'll get Brooke to help," Louis said. "Alright then. You are free to go. Have a nice night," the doctor said before walking out. Louis jumped off of the bed and gave me his hand to help me down. I accepted his offer and jumped down, too. "Let's head out of here," he suggested. I nodded.

We walked out of the room through the open curtain and walked the way we came from. This time there was no screaming or scared people. The only thing that was still heard was the heart monitors and the whispers of the doctors. We walked out the door (that led into the waiting room) to see the room had cleared up. We walked past the crabby front desk lady and stuck out noses up at her before exiting the hospital.

"I will be driving this time," I said and took the keys from his pocket. I ran to the driver side with Louis slowly following behind me before sitting in. I buckled up and put the key in the ignition. Louis sat in shortly after with an amused look. "Someone is breaking the law," he teased. "I may not have my license but I do have my permit plus we are in a serious situation," I said. I smiled at him and began to back out.

I parked in the driveway to see all the lights were still on. "It looks like they are still up," Louis said. "I'd thought they would be asleep by now," I said. I took the key out of the ignition and got out of the car. I closed the door behind me and locked it. Louis and I walked up the driveway together that led to the front door; we walked up the porch steps, unlocked the door, and opened it to see everyone sitting on the couch watching tv.

"We are back," I announced. Everyone looked up and scurried over to us. I was exhausted so I left everyone to Louis and went to lay on the couch. Everyone was asking Louis if he was okay or how everything went. After their little get together everyone went silent and walked over to me which caused my curiosity to grow.

"What?" I asked through the silence. Mum coughed and nudged Harry forward. "Mum I'm scared. She is going to freak," Harry exaggerated. "What am I going to freak at?" I asked. Harry's face broke out in a huge grin. "I still have to give you your other birthday present," Harry said, smiling. "What? I said no more presents but own more wouldn't hurt."

He shook his head and smiled. "Since it's still your birthday and we have five minutes till midnight. I would like to give you these," he pulled out six tickets from behind his back.

I looked up at him in confusion and stood up, I took the tickets from his hand. "Who is it for?" I asked. "Look at the name who we are seeing," he said, carefully taking a step back. I scanned the tickets until I saw the artist name. My eyes widen, I couldn't speak because I was so gobsmacked. I jumped up and down as I pulled Harry in a bone-crushing hug. "You did not! Thank you so much!" I screamed. "I can't believe you got me Ed sheeran tickets!" "And there's more," he said. I sucked in a big breath of air. Liam handed him red lanyards with a pass hooked onto them. "It can't be," I gasp. "Yes it is," he said. I screamed and took the lanyards from him. I looked at the backstage passes that were in my hand. "It's in London... the concert. We will be seeing him the day after we get back. I hit him up and told him about you," he said. "But how?" I asked in astonishment. "I told you I'm friends with Ed," he snickered. I pulled him in another hug. "Thank you so much Harry," I said. "You're welcome Brooke," he said and hugged me back. "Happy birthday."

We let go and I smiled at everyone. They smiled back at me. "Thank you everyone for the best birthday. It was amazing. I had a lot of fun," I said. "You're welcome Brooke," they all said. "Thank you for the presents and the food," I said. "Everything was amazing," I complimented. "You better get to bed. You had a long day," mum said. I nodded. "Good night everyone." I waved and headed upstairs.

Everything was enjoyable. Maybe not at the hospital, but the good thing about going there was that I didn't tell Harry how I feel about Louis. It's best if I keep it to myself, for now. Maybe just maybe I shouldn't tell Harry.
