5. chapter 4

I fell asleep on the way back to the hospital, and I half expected to wake up in my hospital bed with all the tubes in my body, in the same condition I was a week ago. When I did wake up, the limo was parked in front of the same hotel where we picked up the boys this morning. I slowly opened my eyes and readjusted myself, making unattractive slight grunting noises. I smiled as I made eye contact with Calum and let out a small laugh. I got out of the limo with the boys and said goodbye.

"Thank you guys so much for helping make today possible, it was amazing." I gave all the boys hugs.

"Well, we're glad to have helped make it possible." Luke rubbed my back while he hugged me.

"Yeah, it was amazing getting to meet you, you truly are remarkable!" I blushed as the roles were reversed. I never thought meeting me would be amazing or that I was remarkable.

"Wow, that is defiantly something I never would have expected to hear in a million years!"

"Well it's true, you're very special, Luna..." Calum's hug lingered for a few seconds too long, but I didn't mind at all. Today was like a dream come true, and suddenly I wasn't so afraid of dying. I met my idols, spent a day with them and all my friends in Disneyland, had a private acoustic concert, and felt like a kid for once. "Stay in touch, okay?"

"Yeah, sure." I highly doubted we would keep in touch, honestly I highly doubted the boys would remember me in a few weeks. To them, in a few weeks I would just be another fan they did a favor to. Calum smiled and gave me a kiss on my cheek. I smiled back and stood back, watching as they went back to their hotel. I went back in to the limo and quickly fell asleep again. My mom shook me awake when we pulled back in to the hospital.

"How are you feeling?"

"Tired. Really tired, I just want to take my medicine and go to bed."

"Did you have fun?"

"Yes. Can we please just go." My mom sighed and thanked the wish coordinators and the limo driver. I took a deep breath, suddenly the walk from the parking lot to my room seemed like hundreds of miles. "I can't do it... Mom I just don't have the energy to walk back."

"Are you okay though?"

"I'm fine, I'm just exhausted. It was a really full day and I just can't walk anymore." I was getting agitated and all of a sudden I just felt like breaking out in to tears.

"Sit, I'll go see if they can bring you a wheelchair." Bry motioned for me to sit down on the curb.

"Thank you, Bryanna." My mom patted her back and she just nodded as she ran in to the hospital. A minute later, she came out with a doctor and a wheelchair.

"Are you okay?" I was getting really tired of people asking me if I was okay, but I knew that that was my life. I was constantly going to be asked if I was okay, even if all I have is a little cough.

"Fine, just really tired. I had a long day and I just can't walk the distance." The doctor looked at my mom and all she did was sigh and shrug. My mom helped me in to the wheelchair and they wheeled me through the hospital and into my room. I went in to my little bathroom and with what little energy I had, I managed to brush my teeth and get into my pajamas. I looked at my medicine sitting on the counter and hesitated to take it. I slowly made my way to my bed and curled up in a little ball, falling quickly asleep. I was so tired that I didn't notice my blankets weren't on the hospital bed and that there was a giant suitcase on the corner of the room.
